"I stayed two evenings, once on the front of my trip and again before leaving Edinburgh. The first time, the front desk staff was truly amazing and helpful. It's quiet pretty much and private. My room was spacious and quaintly decorated. If you have to lug a suitcase and don't like stairs, request a ground floor room.
