"Walkable to a lot of restaurants and bars "

"For a 2 star rated hotel you cannot ask for anything better. Wonder staff, customer service focused and polite. Check in process was quick and easy. Room was updated, wasn't top notch but was definitely upgraded and you could tell. Best thing was the water pressure, i think it's better than mine. Overall it worked for us as we spent the night on our way across the country."

"Great venue with a lot of things to do"

"This place is amazing. I’ve never stayed in a place quite like this. I got one of the cottage themed rooms and it was amazing. It was extremely comfortable (except for the pillows but it’s rare to get good pillows in a hotel). It was so spacious it felt like the room kept going. The room I booked had a fireplace which helped my wife stay warm even though I was hot and she was cold. The shower had good room and pressure. The woman who checked me in was very friendly and informative. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to Des Moines but if I do I’m staying here no questions ask. In fact I’m going to find out if Stoney Creek has other places. I loved this place. "

"Needed a quiet room for one night. The hotel is older and the hallways show some age. But our room was very nice and clean. The beds are comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast had a nice variety of choices. "

"The stay was nice and quiet ..it worked for us because the airport is so close and we were flying out the next morning ..the 4am breakfast was great....Also my King size bed was very comfortable we loved it..I would recommend the stay to everyone ,also their enclosed pool area excellent 👍 "

"This is a beautiful hotel. Very clean and spacious room. Our room faced Main Street—traffic noise. One suggestion is more outlets for electronics. One outlet didn’t work at all. We had to charge 2 phones, watch, hearing aid, CPAP machine, iPad. If we come again, I’ll bring a power strip. "

"My husband and I are very leary of hotel stays and was pleasantly surprised and happy with our accommodations. Our dog loved it too."
