Cool to stay in a machiya. Stairs are narrow and more like a ladder, but easily navigable for younger and smaller bodies. For the price there are more comfortable and equally well situated places around. "

In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes. However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though. Ein 7eleven und Lawson in Lauf Nähe. Zwei Bahnhöfe sind 15 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Bus Linien zu den Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten ca. 5 Minuten entfernt"
