“My wife and I have been to Fredericksburg many times and stayed at many places, but this is now truly our favorite! The host was absolutely fantastic and very responsive and the location is the best we’ve ever had!”

“We had the most amazing stay! Marsha and Steve (the property owners) were fabulous!”

“It was nice and quiet!”

“Beautiful property full of wildlife and nature. Great location to distilleries, wineries, and towns. Bedrooms and baths were spacious. The house was very accommodating with a great kitchen and fun outdoor shower. Fantastic views from the porch where we could rock in the rocking chairs and enjoy the complimentary wine left by our gracious host. Thank you Albert for letting us enjoy this outstanding property and for being quick to respond to our questions. Definitely a one of a kind property and……

“Breakfast was a family setting with all other guests. When they say breakfast is at 9 am- they mean it. Don't be late! Fun to see the chickens and goats in this rural setting. Expect uber rustic accommodations. Jenny and Doug are super friendly. A real plus was that it was only a couple miles from Luckenbach . One unpleasant thing was that the room smelled rather musty and was very humid even with the air conditioning. ”

“Host was very communicative and it was appreciated”

“Some of the best breakfast I've had. Wonderful people. Peaceful and quiet. I would love to stay here again. Far enough from town to be country and close enough to be convenient. They offer complementary drinks and snacks.”

“The Smith’s were the perfect hostess. The place is beautiful and full of great amenities and landscaping to take you to a great relaxing time. The town is only a few miles with great restaurants and stores. Steve and Belinda treat us like family with delicious home cook breakfast served at the big covered porch with in company of the other guests.”

“We had a wonderful B&B experience with Mark and Leticia at The Walpole Lodge! They were wonderful hosts and we greatly enjoyed getting to know them during our stay. The cabin was absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the Texas Hill Country overlooking Lake Medina. The room was large and comfortable, and had the rustic feel that you would expect from a log cabin. The bath and shower were ample and well supplied with toiletries and linens. The shower itself was refreshing with plenty of hot……

“It's quiet and let me feel chill. You can see sunset just in the house. The owner is so kind and the room is so clean. They offer drinks and cookies and also has wifi. It' s so great to stay here, just sitting outside with books, beverage and perfect scenery. The breakfast, including waffle, bacon and strawberry romanoff, are also very delicious. All exceed our expections！！”

“They sold the place in May and didn’t tell us until the day of arrival. Still waiting on the refund. We were looking forward to staying there too”
