Point A London Kings Cross - St Pancras

"An affordable hotel with some excellent features. The breakfast is top-notched with a large area filled with tables and chairs. Choices are plentiful. I loved the fresh fruits. Automatic front-doors are really appreciative for weary passengers with heavy luggage. Security: Guests need to scan to open inner doors. Front desk: 24/7 staffed. Room service: only on the 4th day Location: Within 7-10 min walk to the St. Pancras & King's Cross, two major train/metro hubs for easy traveling. This is also a bustling area with plenty of groceries and fast-food restaurants, e.g., McDonald's, Five Guys. The former is overcrowded during afterschool time. Room: Very clean. No windows in the basement. I wish I'd chosen one with windows. Safe area: yes. Hotel is far removed from the rowdy areas of the train stations to provide quietude and safety, even though I'd wish it's located nearer to the train stations. This is an affordable, safe, and conveniet hotel. Recommended."

"Convenient location- Close to King’s Cross. Smaller room than I had expected. Fridge was quite noisy and didn’t seem to work. Otherwise- useful for the night."

"I would come back to this hotel. The location is very central and the price is decent. My room did not have air conditioning and it was quite warm but there was a fan. They do charge for early check in and late checkout. After a long journey from the states i had to pay the early check in fee which was a bit annoying because many hotels will waive this if the room is ready. Overall it was fine"

"Always like to stay at the Tavistock on my way through London. It's very convenient, quiet sleep (you'd think the traffic would be noisey, but no) and first class breakfast. I'll be back."

"Close to King's Cross St. Pancras Railroad Station and it's many shops and cafes. This was important because I had only a five minute walk to catch my train to Paris very in the morning of my last day in London. Good fan in the room to cool things down on the occassional hot days in London. Easy access to many subway and bus lines. Room was affordable, small but adequate. Very clean. Good wifi. Sometimes some street noise in the early morning. Friendly staff."

"The breakfast is very good. One of the elevator was down during my whole week’s stay. Another one broke down one day, I had to walk down the stairs, and the stairs down to the lobby were very confusing, the indication was not clear. I went all the way down only to find it was a fir escape, had to go back up and across the building to access a different stair. Other than that, everything was good. Location is very close to train station, very convenient . I won’t mind going back and stay there again."
