「Nice building in a residential area away from party life in Puerta Vallarta, but still super walkable. Almost no elevation change to head to the ocean. Lots of fresh produce, meat and fish within blocks. There is a super great variety of street food and restaurants in the neighbourhood as well. Super clean suite with modern plumbing and a/c. The plunge pool on the roof is a great way to cool off. I’d absolutely stay here again.」

「Garlands del Rio is a charming boutique hotel. It is their people that stand out and keep people coming back. Martha, Rico and Ivan are all exceptional. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and convenient to everything in the Zona Romantica. We were there during the cartel violence and the hotel staff kept us safe and secure. They did their best under extremely difficult situations. We definitely will return and visit them again.」

「The cave room is seriously something special. I don’t know the story but it must have been someone’s home years and years ago. You can tell they put a lot of thought and intention (and money!) into building this unique space. It’s the perfect little oasis nestled into the mountain. Sure the finishes are older and you're basically sleeping outside (lol) but once you’re used to the sounds at night, I always felt safe and slept like a baby! 「All rooms face the Ocean, view is obscured by other buildings and the Palm Trees. Only complaint I have, the Bar across the Street on the Beach was blaring Hip Hop Music until 1:00 AM. Had to fall asleep with the room thumping from the Bass. 」

「Ideal location right near beach, bars, restaurants. Clean modern rooms with very comfy beds and bathrooms. The staff are incredible. Very attentive and responsive and extremely caring and friendly. Would absolutely recommend.」

「We loved our stay at Rivera del Rio. Our room was great (Zelda). We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the sound of the river and watching people go by. We also loved the rooftop pool and bar. Ruben is the best! And Victor was an amazing host and helped us book another stay while we were there.」
