“This property is so unique and the concept of converting cabooses into rooms was genius. We had a wonderful two night stay. We stayed in “The Gatsby” caboose, which has a deck out front overlooking clear lake. The deck was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee and our evening cocktail. Inside our caboose were robes & other amenities to enjoy the in-room jacuzzi. Loved the hanging chairs, and the grounds were so lush and well maintained. The breakfast both days was delicious. “Generally pleased with the stay. My challenges are surrounding the value. For the price I’m not entirely sold on returning. Arrived to our canvas tent which was really clean and great appointments. However our tent was supposed to come with linens and beds made. By the time I realized this, on our second day, I let the front desk know. They kindly dropped off a bag of sheets and duvet covers as well as pillow cases. Call me bougie but for what we paid per night, I guess I was expected to make……

“We will definitely come back. I got what I expected: a clean room, great location at a reasonable price. Cons: Some towels had black stains, some of the furniture was oversize in the room and our mattress pad cover had stains on it. There definitely is some maintenance that could be done to improve the property. Pros: location location location! It was RIGHT on the lake but better: the Highlands Park was a quick walk and we caught 9 fish rather quickly (we are catch and release). The room was……
