"I was very disappointed with my stay. When I arrived around 4:30 PM, I was told my room would not be ready until 6:30 PM, which was difficult after traveling with tired children. When we were finally placed in a room, it seemed like it had not been properly checked. The furniture, including the couch and dining table, was dirty, and the refrigerator was not working. When I reported the issues, I was told that maintaining the furniture was the owner’s responsibility, which was not reassuring as a guest. It took two days and speaking with a manager before the refrigerator was fixed. There were also no proper blankets in the room, and I had to call to request extras. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and I would not choose to stay here again."

"Took over an hour to check in the rooms were not ready. The refrigerator was dirty. The hot tub didn’t work. The sauna didn’t work. They charged me an extra $200 activity fees, which I had no activities to do because everything wasn’t working and they put us across the street where you couldn’t even get to the restaurant oh the restaurant was closed for the entire week and the pool was dirty. Never stay there again. Never use this app again to book any trips ever "

"I’m honestly not sure if this was due to spring break crowds, but this was not one of the best experiences I’ve had at this hotel. I stayed here years ago and it was a completely different experience—in a good way. Unfortunately, the property has gone downhill significantly. There was no mention on the website about renovations, and the water park was very limited during our stay. None of the slides were available, which was a huge disappointment. Check-in lines were extremely long, and several elevators were out of service, making it even more frustrating getting around. The room itself was not up to par—the bathrooms especially needed attention. Housekeeping was also an issue. We had four people in our room and were only given two towels, and it took multiple requests to get anything additional. Even when the hotel reached out via text to ask about our stay, there was little to no follow-up when concerns were raised, which made the service feel very surface-level. Another concern was the environment—there was a noticeable smell of marijuana throughout different areas of the resort, which made the overall atmosphere less family-friendly than expected. Overall, I’m very disappointed with this stay. The only positive experience was the woman who checked us in—she was incredibly kind and welcoming, and truly the highlight of our visit."

"Old hotel. No free breakfast options typical of other Holiday Inns. On our first night, the fire alarm went off. The staff kept saying “false alarm” and to go back into the room. In the meantime, the fire department was still making their rounds and the staff was still checking in guests for the other tower while both the audible alarms and lights in the halls kept going off. "

"The Caribe Royale has professional staff who work hard, have great customer service skills and do what they can to show you that they want you to enjoy your stay. The property is absolutely beautiful and well maintained both inside and out. The rooms we stayed in were very beautiful and comfortable. There are also beautiful birds that can be sighted on the grounds which is also nice. There is a large pool with a slide, plenty of seating around the pool, a poolside restaurant, a basketball court, and various other amenities that guests can enjoy."

"The reason I booked this hotel was because I had an issue with another reservation I had. When I first arrived they gave me a dirty room. I went back to the front desk and the staff members who initially gave me the room were not taking my issue serious and were laughing and being unprofessional. They gave me a different room so I went to the building I was supposed to be staying at to find that my new room key was not working to my room or the building. I went to the front desk again and was helped by a different member who gave me access to the room and building. My new room smelled like grease/fried oil, the tub was filthy, and the light over the shower came out of the ceiling when I closed the door and was hanging over the shower, we were afraid to take a shower because we thought it was going to fall and electrocute us. We also had some very noisy neighbors who kept slamming their doors all night and morning with their dogs barking as well. Overall the only positive about this place in my opinion are the free shuttles they offer but in the future I will not be returning here. "
