“The wooden shoe, as the owners have tastefully named this rental, is great. We were a family of 8, including two children and the house was perfect for our extended weekend trip. The house is in an ideal location if you want to be close to the downtown while also getting that cabin feel. The yard is part lake part forest and an absolute delight to wake up to. Hosts have you set up for everything with sufficient toiletries, kitchen supplies, and ample toys for kids. The dvd collection was more……

“Great property! The setting is very nice with access to see all the animals. Kitchen is very nicely stocked for cooking, all updated appliances. The bedding was very, very comfortable. I would like to make two suggestions though - 1. A dimmer on the dining light fixture and a table lamp in the living room. The overheads are just way to bright.”

“This was a perfect cabin for my husband and I! The area is beautiful. The communication with Anne, the host was exceptional! Would definitely stay there again, possibly in warmer weather. Beautiful experience in this rustic and historical cabin. A little sad that we didn't see any deer on the property though! ”
