“Spotless, very comfortable room, lovely sunny terrace and a comfortable sitting room full of books, plants, interesting pictures and antiques. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was superb, the best we had in Madeira. Levada walks nearby and short walk to a couple of good restaurants. Highly recommended ”

“We had a perfect stay. Everything was great! Starting from the greetings for my birthday with chocolates and a bottle of sparkling wine, ending with dinners and amazing ocean view that is there from the terrace. The hotel is located among the banana plantations on the hill, and feels peaceful and calm. Staff is friendly and attentive, helped us with local recommendations. But some nights we just didn’t want to leave, so stayed for the dinner in the hotel restaurant, which is amazing with great……

The restaurant is nothing massively remarkable but a great thing to have close by as there are not many other places to eat in the area within walking distance. ”

“This is a fantastic hotel! Check-in was quick, easy, with friendly service. The hotel was nicely decorated and furnished, with lots of seating. The room was absolutely clean, comfortable, spacious, and again very well furnished and decorated. It was stocked with plenty of towels, essentials, coffee/tea, etc. The balcony was nice with two chairs and small table, overlooking the street, beach and water. The breakfast selection was plentiful and delicious! I didn't stay long enough to be able to……

“Fantastische Aussicht, sehr gute Zimmer, gutes Essen, sehr freundlich. Toller Pool auch wenn wir ihn nicht genutzt haben. Wer es ruhig mag - Das hotel liegt Abseits im Westen der Insel. Es gibt aber ein kleinen Laden und eine Pizzaria nur zehn Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Man kann gut mit dem Auto auf Entdeckungstour gehen. Das warme Buffet abends könnte etwas wärmer sein und die Küche im Apartment ist etwas spärlich ausgestattet. ”

“Beautiful spot. Really beautifully designed hotel tucked in a corner with lovely views out to the ocean. Amenities were all modern and top quality. The food was fine. Our room was very nice, but the comments about no privacy around the bathroom area are very true. The service was generally very good, with only a few odd exceptions. The spa was also lovely and we not enjoyed our services. Would definitely recommend staying here!”
