"Positives: Food was great, especially Gondola. The beach was nice and calm, with plenty of available lounge chairs and umbrellas. It was on a bay, not the ocean, so the water was calm, and not a lot of vendors. Big variety of pools. Dolphin experience was fantastic. Negatives: As with most resorts, impossible to get a pool side lounge chair - they were "reserved" before we got up (although reserving was ostensibly forbidden, this was not enforced.) Way too many unused chairs were restricted to "residence" members. Disappointed that before we were checked in, they attempted to upsell us to a more expensive room (for an extra $1200). Both coming and going, we were assaulted by attempts to sell us residence memberships. Not why I go on vacation. Also, while we loved the dolphins, no photos allowed, and the price for their photo package was astronomical - >$200, five times what we paid for photos at other outings."

"My recent stay at hibiscus lodge was very enjoyable . The breathtaking view of the sea as you eat breakfast ,the lush almond trees, 🌳 and overall landscape of the property truly clears your mind. The staff were very hospitable , the owner is very down to earth and extremely approachable ensuring that each guest is satisfied . Of course the delicious breakfast and dinner . I truly enjoyed my stay and look forward to another time . Lastly, let me not forgot the lovely blended fruit punch , the delicious oxtail and rice and peas , and of course fried dumpling and calalou. Yes, I recommend staying here if you travel to ocho Rios ( not far from Dunns River, Dolphin Cove and Miss T ‘s Kitchen)."

"Clean apartment, spacious enough for 3, balcony with sea view, large bedroom with ensuite bathroom and modern all over. 2 minutes walk to the beach on compound with a beach bar and food options. Hakeem supplied us with complementary beverages too, a great driver and quick response. 5 minutes walk to town. I highly recommend the stay."

"The apartment was clean and inviting. The host provided many essential items such as towels, beach chairs, dishes, pots, cup, glasses & utensils. Communication with the owner was consistent but some information was slightly unclear such as the entry to the apt. information but security quickly addressed the concerns. A book is provided with many suggested ideas & emergency numbers. The only drawback was that the beach had a rocky pathway to get to it and my mother was not able to experience the beach on the grounds. Overall, it is a nice property for a short get away and it is within walking distance for those who don’t mind a 15-20 minute walk."
