Inverness Merkinch Local Nature Reserve Hotels

"The hotel is very nice and position excellent. Our room 935 did have its problems. The heating was stuck on max and the radiator cap did not turn it off. The tv remote did not work (I think batteries flat) and there was a wifi blackspot in the main bedroom. I told reception about the issues before i left and so i hope they addressed them, we got in late and were only staying one night so didnt let them know in real time. Wouldn’t let it stop me staying again but should be on a pre-let checklist. The suite could do with a fridge."

"Nice clean room, pleasant staff, a nice bar area…all in a good stay"

"Worst experience we have ever had at any hotel or guest house. USB outlets in room didn't work. Room had an odor. Bathroom fan was covered in thick layers of dust. Lamps didn't have working lightbulbs. Fire alarm went off twice in one night waking us up at 1am. Staff couldn't figure out what was going on and we called Fire Brigade ourselves. We didn't get an apology or explanationn Morning after the entrance hallway was full of animal feces and spread on the wall. One staff member reeked of cigarette smoke and made the entire front desk area smell of smoke. They allow people to just loiter in the entrance drinking and smoking. No protein/eggs at breakfast ever. Just all around terrible experience and would never suggest this place to anyone Location is okay if you want to be in the heart of downtown but parking was several blocks away. It's noisy as you can expect. Very rowdy bars and bus stop directly below room window."

"Excellent location"

"We stayed here twice. The first time we were in bldg 18 room 32. We did not like this room. It seemed old and out dated. Shower has low pressure. It was clean and beds were good. The second times we stayed here (3 days later), we were in bldg 18 room 38. We loved this room. It is updated, bed comfortable and has an amazing shower! Breakfast was good both times we stayed and staff were very nice. Easy walking to stores and restaurants. Car was safe parked in the street."

"Nice and clean accommodations, people were very friendly, nice location and enjoyed the terrace with a drink. The room had no hooks to hang clothing, a towel or a toiletry bag. The electric shower was terrible, no water pressure and temperature was continuously changing, warm to cold. Otherwise enjoyed the stay."

"This hotel is very convenient to many locations. Pubs, gardens, walking trails. Older but very comfortable amenities. "

"Character property with plenty of parking space, not far to walk to town. I stayed in a single room (which had a double bed) and a larger double room which also had larger bathroom and little extras in comparison. Can't fault the property, it was clean with good quality bedding and towels, and the fixtures and fittings new and of high standard. The beds were very comfortable and you couldnt hear the other guests in their rooms so managed to have a peaceful stay."
