“Great place to relax!”

“Spent the 4th of July weekend here with my wife and our dogs and we loved the convenience of the location being so close to Lake Wallenpaupack and Hawley. Had all the amenities we needed and the dogs found it quiet and cozy for their much needed “relax” time as well. Highly recommended!”

“This charming little loft was the perfect escape. It was exactly as described — beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location is incredibly peaceful yet still close to the highway and town. We loved making s’mores by the fire pit, and the hosts couldn’t have been nicer.”

“This property was perfect for our family and two dogs. It literally has everything you could need - from coffee pods, sugar and creamer to extra dog dishes, poop bags and an outside dog lead! We loved spending time by the firepit, exploring the creek, napping in the hammocks. Great place to do absolutely nothing! Keep an eye out for the water snake we found who lives creekside next to the house- harmless- just likes to sun himself peacefully. :)”

“This home is located in a nature lovers paradise. The house is very nice and the covered porch is great. There is a path down to the river. They have a beautiful large deck overlooking the water and a staircase leading into the river. And the woods surround everything. A true quiet getaway.Liz was so easy to work with and quickly got back to me with any questions I had. We enjoyed our stay!”

“The place was beautiful and the community was great. The little pond in front of the house is great for kayaking or floating around. The gym and lake are just down the hill.One thing that the description of the house didn't highlight was the downstairs apartment. I was mad because I took the master bedroom, that doesn't have an AC unit, and my son took the basement. ”

“We loved our stay at Bear Pause Retreat. Comfortable, quiet, beautifully, and comfortably decorated with all the right amenities. The AC kept things cool, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the enclosed porch was perfect for morning coffee—especially with our Beagle safely by our side!Great host, great communication. We’d absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!”

“Wonderful spacious home and very clean. All necessary amenities. Puzzles and games were are bonus. Great back yard and awesome covered deck with good seating, large picnic table, and perfect hot tub. Great hosts very responsive. Make sure to download direction as cell service limited as you get closer. WiFi worked great. ”
