「So relaxing and beautiful surroundings! Our hosts were amazing and the cookies at check in were so delicious!! The town of Elsah is literally you taking a step back in time! Over 50% of the town is the original buildings from the mid 18 hundreds! The Bald Eagles were very active when we were there! Our hosts gave us a private tour of the town’s museum it was amazing! You can’t go wrong staying there and visiting 」

「Everything was great. My only complaint was reservations were for six and our room only had room to sleep five. One of my grandchildren had to sleep on the floor, because of the mixup. The property didnt have a rollaway bed. We booked a queen suite with sofa, which was supposed to sleep 6, but the sofa bed only slept one instead of two. The staff brought lots of extra bedding but I still wish my grandson had a bed.We booked thru hotels.com. Not sure if that matters」

「Hotel smelled weird. It was super sketchy. There were vagrants outside mad they couldnt get a room. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the room only had one outlet. The shower head was about chest level. It was a hideous bright yellow color. And someone was shouting from the parking lot all night. However, it was the only place with vacancy in the whole StL area that night, so I was grateful to be able to stay there even if it was one of the seediest motels Ive ever been. The room was...
