"I liked the location, it is right in front of the HWY exit so no driving around. Easy to get on either Northbound or Southbound of the Hwy. I stayed a couple of nights while I was helping my son settle into moving into his dorm at UCSC which was about a 12 min drive. Property roads are a bit beat up with pot holes but didn’t really bother me. I didn’t try the restaurant inside so can’t review that. All in all I’d stay here again when I come visit my son."

"The lights under the microwave oven were on all night. I even considered trying to disconnect the bulbs. My wife and I tried many ways to turn off Was not possible. I finally went to the front desk after calling 0 which did not work. The guy at the front desk was new and had no idea. We finally went downstairs for breakfast and the lady was familiar with this issue, she recommended that we follow the chord back and unplug it. I eventually figured out that you have to be 6ft tall like me to open the right cupboard to reach and unplug it. The curtains were nice but what's the point if you have to sleep with the lights on. I would be inclined to stay again now that I know how to get better sleep. Thanks, all else gets a definite 5!"

"When I booked it it was so late. I also called the front desk to let them know that we would arrive very late, he was very nice and sweet and said no problem and he said to just come inside I truly appreciate that and he was so helpful. The place was so nice and cleaned."

"We stayed here after a day at the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk. Check-in was quick and painless. The motel was full and there was still adequate parking. The A/C worked well enough. There are several food options and a convenience store within an easy walk. The Beach Hut Deli on the corner makes a mighty fine sandwich, and you can even have a beer while you wait. The only ding on this motel is that the bathroom was a bit tired. The sink was down to steel in a couple of spots and please repair the stripped spline in the shower temperature control."

"Absolutely loved our stay. Great and friendly staff. Valet was super welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The treadmills weren’t working. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel. The location was in close proximity to the beach and downtown which was perfect. Overall it was amazing and would definitely book again."

"The property is literally just as beautiful as the pictures. They are adding on another covered patio party structure that will be so cool when complete. Also, the communication is just as good as described in all the other posts. The whole thing was a breeze. It wasn’t super hot weather so we opted to heat the pool during the day and then some of the group went in the spa in the evening while the rest of us sat by the fire. So relaxing! The only thing I will add for future renters- there is no ice maker in the fridge. There is a smaller one in the bar fridge but if you have a big group and need more ice, plan to get some bags to keep in the freezer. Also, there are a LOT of stairs. Both between the first floor, second floor and drop in living area and kitchen, and then again through various levels outside. This isn’t so bad except we brought our 89 year old parents and they had a little trouble. Just a heads up for older guests or someone that needs assistance. Overall the place was such a treat and we had a really great time. Thanks Matt!"

"This is a cool location where you feel like you've really gotten away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The place is clean and comfortable. The patio offered a nice space to sit and enjoy the views with lots of trees, flowers and birds!Communication with the host was easy."
