"This hotel is just south of Bourbon St, easy to walk to but far enough from the loud speakers at night. It has a gym & a proper bar & lounge area.
Our room was facing a multi-level garage with garish neon lights (where we parked our car coincidentally), but it had big windows with good black-out blinds & was pretty roomy. The glass double sliding bathroom doors were quite trendy, but kept coming off the tracks on the floor & dangle precariously at the top. The bathroom counter top had a crack & a chip. Did someone sit on it?
Shortly after check-in, someone from the housekeeping crew just opened our door as we were resting on our beds, without knocking first. He did apologize but we thought that was quite unprofessional.
Other than that, the overall feel is quite corporate, if you're into this kind of environment. "
