“The staff were all absolutely wonderful, and we really enjoyed both the breakfast and the dinner at the adjoining pub. The Church next to the venue is well worth a visit, and there is a small relatively well stocked shop just a two minute walk away. Parking was very easy with plenty of space to choose from. The locals recommended us the fabulous museum of Norfolk Life, which is about 15 minutes by car. Make sure to visit! The space in the room was fantastic, however, I personally would’ve……

“We were so pleased to finally stay at the Windmill we’d first seen on Villages by the Sea and again from the North Norfolk Railway. It’s a remarkable building, and you can really appreciate how much care and investment must go into maintaining it. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were very well looked after at breakfast each morning. “We really enjoyed our stay at Holly Lodge. Our room was lovely, and it was clean and comfortable. It was great having air con in the room. Breakfast was also great. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we’re in the area.”

“Property has been upgraded downstairs and the restaurant and bar area are lovely as is the outside courtyard. When you go upstairs it’s apparent that an upgrade is still required. Our room - 3 - overlooked a very busy main road and the secondary double glazing did nothing to keep the constant traffic noise at bay. There are two windows in that’s room. And they are old and rotten. Triple glazed windows required. Carpets need replacing. Bathroom has been upgraded and is very pleasant but b&b……

“The continental breakfast was pleantyful and varied,the room was spacious and clean and came with tea and coffee making facilities. The decor in the property in general was a little jaded but overall it was a fair price for what was in offer.”

“Great location for visiting Sandringham. Breakfast not included in room fee. My husband likes to read and write in morning. There was no desk in the room and no access to open areas in the facility. Being located “right next” to the road, with the bed on that wall, it was noisy. Double pained windows on that wall would help. ”

“Arrived early evening looking forward to having a meal after a long drive to find out that there is no food service for the length of my stay. I feel this should have been made clear at the time of booking. Although not the Half Moons fault, there was no WiFi available due to a damaged phone line caused by road works. As I was on a business trip this was compulsory as the phone signal in the area is next to null. The room was comfortable and clean, only complaint with the room is the boiler……

“Jean at the White Lodge was an amazing host. Very cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. During my stay, I met and spoke to a lot of other guests who had been going for years, which emphasises the warmth and homely nature.”
