"The location and rooms of this hotel are great! While Zürich is very expensive, we were pleased with the setup of the junior suite (could separate bed into two rooms) and it was a terrific location, close to train station, old town, and many sites. Everything was very walkable! Down side was the cost of a less than average hotel breakfast and the food options in the hotel. Thankfully, we could easily do without eating there. Outside drinks setup was nice, though!"

"Beautiful design and a great location, but "lean luxury" concept lacks basic comfort and service. Apparently, this is a "lean luxury" hotel, which is something the staff should really explain to first-time guests. It turns out "lean" means no room phone, no room service, no fridge, no coffee/tea facilities, and zero amenities. We booked this for an overnight layover after a frustrating flight cancellation. Exhausted from travel, the last thing we wanted was to do the staff's job by entering our own data into the system and activating our own room cards at check-in. We got the "Cozy Room" for our short stay, but it was incredibly small—the bathroom sink was literally out in the hallway. For $600/ night it's fair to expect a bit more. That said, the breakfast was wonderful, and the bar/restaurant area is absolutely beautiful. Just be aware of what you are sacrificing for the aesthetic."

"The hotel is a bit old, but is charming. It is close to cafes, restaurants, shops & train station. The room was fairly large, with a large bathroom. The safe was not easily found. It was located behind heavy curtains on the ledge. On our first night, we had to use the safe at Reception, because we could not find the safe. The Receptionist had told us that the safe was broken & not fixed yet & was in the wardrobe. The staircase is very dangerous. It is spiral & narrow on the inside. There is no rail on the outside. We had to be extra careful when we used the staircase. The Reception area is very small. You can not fit more than 2 people in there with their suitcases. In the mornings, the Reception area was at the bar area. The restaurant does not have much on the menu. On our first night, we just wanted to eat at the hotel, but there was not much to choose from. I chose the quiche & salad, but was told there was none available. So we had to go out to eat. There is no mini fridge in the room, which is not ideal. We like to buy drinks & milk to put in the fridge. There is no wardrobe in the room - only a rack with coat hangers, which was too high for me to reach. There is not much bench space in the bathroom. I had to put my toilet bag on the floor. There were not many English channels on the tv. Overall, we found Zurich to be very expensive for food, drinks & shopping,"
