A gorgeous house to enjoy peace and quite

A very nice place with spectacular surroundings. We had a lovely stay! Only 2 things to take into account: the nearest supermarket is 20 m away and there are quite a lot of mosquitoes.

A great three weeks

This is a very nice property. Veronica is very accommodating. The description of her house is very accurate. We like to choose properties away from tourist attractions yet close enough to drive to. Veronica’s house fills the bill, about a 20 minute drive to Orvieto. Happy to recommend

ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS!!

Very comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Excellent, well-supplied, modern kitchen with everything you need or want. Two wonderful outdoor porches in addition to wide open fields and a pergola with comfortable chairs. I can't imagine a nicer place to stay. It is certainly far and above any place I've stayed for vacation rentals. We loved everything about this place and were sad to leave it after just a week.

Delightful property

Veronica was a very kind host. The property is one of the finest we have stayed at in Italy. As per other visitors comments, the roads are narrow, a car the size of a Golf is an ideal size. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, plenty of lounge space and terraces outside. It is situated is what could only be described as a large park, the landscaping is massive. Very rural location, you will have to drive for any facilities. Recommended if you want a quiet holiday.

A wonderful place to stay

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Veronika was very helpful in getting us to the location because it is off the usual roads! But once we found it, we loved it. It is so peaceful and quiet and comfortable! We loved being able to drive to Orvieto for a bite to eat, and discovering Bolsena nearby was delightful. The kitchen is amazing at this house, and we had several nice meals here. Don't stay here if you're looking for tourist traps or the usual Italian vacation -- what you'll find, instead, is nature, peace, quiet, and relaxation. We could not recommend this house -- or Veronka -- higher!

A hidden gem

We absolutely loved our stay at Veronika's place and it's proximity to Orvieto (about a 25 minute drive away). During our stay we visited Todi, Assisi, Amelia and Lake Bolsena. We shopped every day at the Coop in Orvieto near the autoroute. The kitchen was very well equiped. We enjoyed cooking in the evening. The only thing to flag for others - if you are driving and you have a very big car - the dirt track to the property is very, very narrow and our car only just fit! Hence the reason we didn't go out in the evening. Fine if you have a smaller car.

nice house but limited privacy and quiet

The house is very nicely furnished, well equipped and very clean. truly a gem. it has 2 nice outdoor sitting areas shaded at different times of the day. however, we were looking for privacy and quiet and that need was not met. The house is not free standing (photo). there is an adjacent house ( with shared wall) with an Italian family living there permanently. The woman has a loud, piercing voice and she speaks all day from 7 am till 10 pm . you hear their radio/TV too. The other surprise for us was that the owner lives permanently on the property. this is not in the house description. Her entry door next to the patio. so that patio is not private. Since this is a small , old house with thin walls you hear her talking on the phone, or listening to TV. Further, there were many service people who came in the course of our 2 weeks and we had to put up with this as well ( vacuuming, grass mowing on sat eve when we just sat for dinner at 7, some repairs). At the moments when we were alone on the property it was wonderful so overall we have a mixed experience.

Superbe maison de campagne très bien rénovée et très agréable à vivre avec un grand parc. Les chambres sont grandes et calmes. La maison est dans une zone rurale non loin de la belle ville d'Orvieto. Bon point de départ pour visiter l'Ombrie, Assise, Spello ... et même pousser jusqu'à la plage (nous avons bien apprécié celle de Feniglia). Accueil de Paola très cordial et les échanges avec Veronika ont été parfaits.

Living in a Park

Es war alles wunderschön, besser noch wie auf den Fotos. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig man hat viel Platz und div. Möglichkeiten im Garten im Schatten oder in der Sonne zu sitzen. Das einzige Manko - an das man sich allerdings auch schnell gewöhnt- ist die etwas abenteuerliche Zufahrt. Ich habe den Aufenthalt, die Stille sehr genossen.

Traum zum Entspannen

Wir haben uns sehr auf dieses Haus gefreut und sind vom ersten Betreten bis zum Verlassen verliebt in dieses wunderschöne Anwesen. Von der Küche bis zu den Bädern und Schlafzimmern ist alles detailverliebt und kunstvoll gestaltet, so dass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Obwohl keine Klimaanlage vorhanden ist, haben wir nachts super geschlafen und uns morgens vom Vogelgezwitscher wecken lassen. Es herrscht hier eine traumhafte Ruhe. Man kann dem Alltagsstress herrlich entfliehen, weil wir hier kein Netz fürs Handy hatten, aber wenn es notwendig ist dann kann man über WLAN telefonieren. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben kaum gemerkt dass sie parallel anwesend war. Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder diese Unterkunft buchen, weil wir noch nie so eine tolle Bleibe hatten. P.S. Wer hier wohnen möchte, sollte schon fahrtechnisch erfahren und mutig sein 😁😂

Paradiesisch

Wir waren knapp zwei Wochen auf dem wunderbaren Anwesen von Veronika. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und trotzdem sie direkt daneben wohnte, haben wir die ganze Zeit sehr schön unsere Ruhe gehabt. Das Häuschen liegt in einem sehr großen parkähnlichen Garten mit vielen Bäumen und ist weit weg von der Straße, so dass wir die Hunde immer laufen lassen konnten. In der Küche ist alles an Küchengerät vorhanden, um auch mal selbst zu kochen. Es gibt deutsches TV und Wifi (manchmal wackelig). Ich habe selten so viel und lange und gut im Urlaub geschlafen wir dort. Einziger wirklich winzig kleiner Nachteil, man fährt immer mindestens eine viertel bis halbe Stunde bis man irgendwo ist (am See, in einem Ort oder in einem Supermarkt). Deswegen ein Tipp, VOR der Anreise im COOP bei Orvieto, der auch Sonntags geöffnet hat, einkaufen (sonst ist man nochmal mindestens eine Stunde unterwegs, um die notwendigsten Dinge zum Essen und Trinken zu haben)

Un espace de calme et de tranquilité

Nous avons véritablement apprécié ces 2 semaines de séjour dans cette ravissante maison, spacieuse, confortable et joliment décorée. L'équipement est parfait et le jardin exceptionnel au milieu d'une nature bien vivante. Torre San Severo est situé en Ombrie mais à la limite du Latium et de la Toscane. De ce fait il y a quantité de choses à faire à moins d'une heure de route. Veronika est une hôte aimable et toujours disponible. On a qu'une envie, c'est revenir.

ruhig und gemütlich

Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt. Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und stilvoll eingerichtet, alles war sehr sauber und sehr praktisch eingerichtet. Wir haben sehr oft gekocht und es war alles da, was man brauchte. Die Umgebung ist sehr ländlich und ruhig, jedoch ist man sehr schnell in Bolsena und am See. Wir waren oft schwimmen und haben uns abgekühlt, haben aber auch oft die Zurückgezogenheit des Hauses und des Gartens genutzt. Die Gastgeberin war sehr nett und immer zur Stelle, wenn man ein Anliegen oder eine Frage hatte. Wir können diesen Urlaubsort sehr empfehlen.

Wunderschönes Haus und traumhafter Garten

SOGGIORNO STUPENDO

Il casale si trova in una zona piacevolmente isolata e adatta agli amanti della tranquillità. Il grande giardino offre la possibilità di piacevoli passeggiate. La casa è finemente ristrutturata e dotata di ogni comfort. Tutti gli spazi sono arredati con grande gusto e attenzione per i particolari. Erholung leicht gemacht!

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig direkt neben einem kleinen Wald. Das Grundstück und auch das Haus sind sehr gepflegt! Auf den verschiedensten Terrassen kann man herrlich entspannen und das Leben genießen! Im Haus fehlt es an nichts. Es ist sehr geräumig und gepflegt! In der oberen Etage sind alle Fenster mit Fliegengittern ausgestattet. So kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen ohne das lästige Mücken einem den Schlaf rauben. Der Kontakt mit Frau Mariaux lief problemlos! Wir können das Haus nur sehr empfehlen!!!

Ruhig und wunderschön

Wir suchten ein Ferienhaus, das abgelegen und ruhig in der Natur liegt und wo unser Hund auch etwas im Garten toben könnte. Genau das und so viel mehr haben wir hier gefunden. Das erste Abenteuer ist schon die Anfahrt. "Ab vom Schuss" ist hier nicht nur eine Phrase. Wir waren schon überzeugt, da hatten wir noch nicht einmal das Haus betreten. Ein riesiger, (nicht eingezeunter) wunderschöner Garten, mitten im Nichts. Das Haus steht dem in nichts nach. Sauber und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und selbst bei über 30° angenehm kühl. Ich war anfangs etwas skeptisch, da die Vermieterin direkt hinten am Haus mit dran wohnt und wir eigentlich "allein" sein wollten. Allerdings war die Sorge komplett unbegründet, da die Vermieterin sehr nett ist und wir uns sowieso kaum gesehen haben. Auch die Nachbarn waren freundlich und kaum gesehen. Wer also mal ein paar Tage "untertauchen" will, ohne Handy, Trubel und Action ist hier genau richtig. Trotzdem sind aber Aktivitäten wie wandern, baden, Museen, Städtetour etc in kurzer Distanz zu erreichen.

Comfortable Rusticity

Casa Acquafresca provides an idyllic setting in the Umbrian countryside, “the green heart of Italy.” The renovated farmhouse remains true to its origins but with all the modern conveniences. Luxuriate in the solitude, sleep with the windows open and awaken to birdsong. We enjoyed all our meals al fresco in one of two outdoor settings on this large property. The kitchen is huge and lacking nothing; it is fully equipped with gas cooktop, electric oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave and small appliances. Wifi proved to be reliable indoors and out. The location is convenient to Orvieto, Lake Bolsena and Civita di Bagnoregio. We stayed for two weeks in May when many of Veronika’s abundant flowers were spectacularly in bloom. We can easily recommend this property and would gladly return.
