This was a fantastic stay, nearly all around. The facility, the room, the view of Fuji, the hotel staff, the dinner buffet, all worth it and I’d stay again. Only complaint is rudeness of onsen staff, rude and impatient, chastised me like a child for forgetting to show my hotel key card on entry and insisting I tried checking out of the bath on a machine I did not use. All of that was in Japanese between us. I can only imagine how they talk to expats who don’t conprehend Japanese. Maybe (?) onsen staff need same hospitality training as the wonderful hotel and banquet staff..?
