「Location is lovely for the hotel, it’s right in the centre and you can easily walk everywhere from the hotel. They allowed us to check in early which was pretty nice of them. Staff was helpful , we enjoyed our stay there.」

「Breakfast was ok but items on menu extra had to be paid for. Room was clean but dated. Shower was an electric shower that was nearly unusable. Low pressure and no temperature control. No replacement shower gel was left after room was cleaned. Staff were excellent and restaurant was well presented. Hotel room a low 3 star at best.」

「The room smelt musty as did the corridors but this is an old building. The carpets need upgrading to improve it's appearance along with the outside needing a paint job. Food at breakfast was lovely and the bathroom and bedding clean. We did have someone above us walking around and around til about 11pm and again the next morning on creaky floorboards which was annoying. I've stayed in more modern hotels for a lot less but this was booked last minute. Good location for our needs .」

「We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. The yard was unkempt and there was a general air of neglect about the whole place. 」
