The resort is a little dated, but well manicured. The rooms are not sound proof, but clean. Found the buffet to be much of the same food, repeated often, with the “bookable” restaraunts to be in a side room of the buffet. Beautiful beach, with a lovely pool area. Staff was super friendly.

This is our second time staying here and we LOVE IT. The staff is amazing and the customer service is top notch. They make sure you always have a drink in your hand, even in the pool! We absolutely love staying here.

Our overall stay was OK. The pool area is really nice and the buffet was ok. We were under the impression that there were several restaurants open each night but in reality it's the buffet and 1 restaurant. You have to wait in line at 930 am to make a reservation at the restaurant and they have very limited seating. We were only able to get a reservation 1 day. The ocean water was really mossy and each morning our bathroom smelled of sewage to the point where I wanted to vomit. Staff was friendly, entertainment was good, but there are definitely some areas where there could be improvement.

The resort was very well kept and clean. Our room was only a few steps away from the back pool. It was great to ha e air conditioning. The room was clean. The only thing I can say that could have been better was the water temperature of the shower. It was tepid. Never had warm water the whole time. There was a decent variety of food. We found the meals and desserts good. The wait staff was amazing. Very friendly and easy to get along with. Some even joked with us. Ricardo Rivera was a big help when we needed to register for the ala carte meals and anytime we had other questions. We didn't use the tennis court or basketball court but they were always in use. We used the spa. It was good. The only improvement for the spa would be to have a wider selection of nail polish colors. There is giant chess and nightly entertainment. Plenty of beach chairs on the beach. The sea was amazing and warm. Out of 11 days, we only had one that the sargassum was on the beach. The pools were very clean and water was amazing. I personally would go back again.

We spent five wonderful days at this hotel. We wished we had stayed longer. Everything was perfect— the upkeep of the common areas, the rooms, the restaurants, the pools... everything was perfect! And what a pleasure the all-inclusive option was; we always managed to find something we enjoyed eating! Unfortunately, long lines for restaurant reservations meant we only managed to dine there once—though the meal was excellent. The staff are LOVELY, smiling, and very helpful. The entertainment is top-notch. Just a few minutes' walk across from the hotel, there is a small shopping center with a Starbucks and a bar/restaurant—perfect for picking up a few souvenirs! I returned home today, and I’m writing this with tears in my eyes as I look back on my stay. For all of this, I thank Allegro Playacar!

The staff was absolutely amazing. Located right on the beach of playacar it was great! We did get some sargasm but honestly i walked the beaches and allegro had the cleanest beach. Food was good, entertainment was good, i know we plan on returning

Resort was great few things to do. Missed some entertainment/shows as it was in spanish. Food was good. Close to town so lots of shopping and gift shops. Not much on the resort for shops.

When we checked in our Room had standing water on most of the floor, and smelled like a mix of mold and sewage. Housekeeping would knock on our door at 8:00 am sharp as our unsolicited wake up call. Buffet Food was borderline inedible, and the a la carte restaurants were almost impossible to get reservations for. We tried every morning to get a reservation for the restaurants and every time they said they were full and would put our name on the waiting list. We left the buffet every meal hungry due to poor food quality and lack of options. I’ve had better food in a public school cafeteria. The drinks were actually pretty good and the bartenders acted happy to make them for us which was nice.
