Our stay was 3 Nigts- rooms looked clean and we needed request to change the sheets these werw clean but some dark spots ( manchas) The water in the Jacuzzi was cold and the Water was not clear/clean. Swimming pool’s were clean and nice. Bathroom needs to have kleenex, body lotion and soap bar. Buffet restaurant food was good. Staff need improve their customer service skils. The beach is beutiful, We have a good time

We love it here! Small, manageable, lovely — the vegetation, the rooms, the pool (jhovan and Consuela delivering ice cream around the pool) and the beach is stunning !!! It’s more low key than some and we love that. Shout out to the staff that works so so so hard for it to feel this lovely. We are so grateful!

Genral layout of hotel and grounds was beautiful. Most staff were polite and helpful. Long line ups at bars was terrible needs more staff to man bars. Only had warm water to shower on occasion and some days not at all. No bottled water in room for first 3 days to drink and make coffee. Beach was amazing again limited staff for drink orders or none at all. In genral its a beautiful place with enormous potetial that has not been realized.

Excelente Resort! Eu e minha família amamos. A comida é variada e muito gostosa, foi o primeiro resort que fomos que gostamos da sobremesa kkk Era tudo delicioso! So o restaurante mamma mia que deixou a desejar, as massas do restaurante principal eram melhor preparadas. Nao conseguimos reserva para os outros. O ambiente do hotel é muito aconchegante, mas precisa de mais guarda sois, alguns dias era dificil achar sombra por la tanto na piscina quanto na praia. A Praia é maravilhosa! Os funcionários sao muito educados e atenciosos, nao havia distinção de atendimento. O quarto deluxe premium é muito bom, limpo e confortável, mas o box do banheiro deveria ter uma porta de vidro maior pois vazava agua com facilidade. Em geral, excelente e esperamos voltar!

This was a really decent resort. The food and the facilities were both good. We loved that it was very natural with lots of critters and foliage. Out room was satisfactory, definitely the right value for what we paid. Our toilet was broken but it was resolved quickly and professionally. Unfortunately the service often left us wanting. Our service experience was extremely polarising; it was either phenomenal or poor. At check in, we were treated quite robotically by the reception staff we dealt with, often times bordering on rude. Our traveling companions on the other hand dealt with another staff member (immediately next to us) and were received warmly with lots of offers to make their stay more comfortable and enjoyable. They were offered early access to their room, which upon hearing this our staff member told us “absolutely not.” We returned to reception ten minutes later and asked the other staff member who gave us immediate access to our room. Other circumstances like this arose through the trip where one staff member would be very accommodating but another would be rude and short with us. Also a note to avoid the staff members in the white polo shirts. They are very pushy about their Executive packages and it became a chore to try and avoid them each day.

We have gone to this resort for almost 2 decades, and we are sorry to say that it is now a cheap resort that is catering to a clientele of drunk, rude people who are more interested in getting as drunk as possible and yelling at the staff! It is no longer the beautiful and calm paradise resort, but a spring breaker that is having their first beer and now wants to party! Definitely do not take your families or children to this resort. They advertise it as family friendly, but it is absolutely not! They also advertise it for honeymooners and it is not a place for honeymooners! We experienced everything from broken glass in the food at the buffet to a child pooping in the swimming pool and the staff did nothing about it. They just kept letting everyone continue to swim in the pool while the poop was being swept off to the sidewalk. A large amount of amenities that they still post on their site and include in their promotional materials are no longer at the resort. They have traded in amenities and services for their customers, and now have fancy patio furniture instead. The management also allows the guests to act incredibly rude to not only other guests, but also their staff. The staff is trying to do their job the best they can, but it is obvious that there is no joy left in their work. Expedia should absolutely not rate this as a VIP hotel! There is nothing about the hotel that is VIP.
The beach towels, they provide have large holes in them with stains!

This was the very sharp piece of broken porcelain back glass that was in the yogurt at the buffet. This could be an incredibly dangerous situation. Just imagine if one of the little kids that stayed at the resort swallowed this.

Staff were wonderful! The room had some issues but biggest issue was the App the hotel uses to book reservations at the restaurants. Most of us could not access the App and when we did it was very difficult for a group to get reservations. We had help once from Guest Services. They need a new system!!

Every thing was great-clean room, friendly staff and amenities. However, the system to reserve a restaurant was poorly designed and not working. I was not able to log in to reserve a restaurant. Had to eat at a buffet every day.

Stayed here only because our usual resort was under renovation. Giving 2 stars mainly for the staff, who work very hard and deserve tips. We booked VIP/Privilege through Expedia, but it was unclear what benefits were included, and it didn’t feel worth the upgrade. The beach is nice, but there is too much shade from palm trees, so you often have to move sunbeds to find sun. Sunbeds are basic and uncomfortable for long use. Food was disappointing overall: bland, under-seasoned, sometimes cold, with long waits at restaurants. The Steakhouse was the best à la carte option, but if you want medium-rare steak, order it well done. Mexican restaurant was below average, hibachi nothing special, and room service very limited. Lobby is dark with uncomfortable seating; lobby bathrooms were not clean and had flushing issues. Lukewarm shower water and lack of bathroom ventilation were also problems. Only one smoking area near the lobby, no chairs, very uncomfortable. Staff and animation team were the highlight. Unfortunately, the resort itself did not meet expectations.

The renovated room was moldy and not nice at all. We got a bit better one the next day though. Room was clean. Food was average, restaurants were better but hard to book as many are closed several days a week. Beach is nice. Generally we found it expensive for what it offers.

I think the differences in experience depend on if you are part of their privilege program or not, or what avenue you took to book your vacation. The privileged group had certain foods, beverages, restaurants and even tables that we weren't allowed to access. Their living quarters even looked completely different, and was what I saw more often on their website. The room, although very clean, was in okay condition, cracks in the walks and ceiling, worn out furniture and mirrors, and not really what you see in the photos. The food was very good in the main restaurant, and had better Mexican food than their Mexican restaurant. The staff were very friendly but very few went above and beyond to make sure your needs were met; simple requests like chairs at the beach were met with "it's not possible" and there were very few staff working around the pool and beach areas. Interestingly enough, there was not much entertainment throughout the day until the Monday we left, we wondered if it was a way to introduce new guests and then would putter out throughout the week. We have stayed at a few other all-inclusives and although we made the most of our time here, it did not live up to the others, especially within the same price range.
