The hotel, its amenities and staff are definitely 5 star quality. The standard rooms, however, are four star and the beach itself i would rate as maybe 3 stars. The beach amenities are outstanding with fresh fruit juice bars full service restaurant and bars, a pool and beautiful manicured areas. The beach is small, lots of coral and sand, unfortunately full of sargassum although this was not the fault of the hotel. It was well appointed with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The staff were courteous, and accommodating. Overall the stay was great and very relaxing. I was upset with two things. The standard rooms, especially the bathrooms are not up to a 5 star standard. Our first room was damp and the furniture looked rough. The bathroom tiles were broken, the tv was small, a 37 inch from 2015 and the shower did not work well. I requested a room change and the room was much better although they downgraded our pool view room to a garden view. The in room amenities are excellent with a de humidifier and steamer to remove wrinkles from packed clothes. My pet peeve was the resorts suggestion to get a better more updated room i would have to upgrade to premium whivj was 800 more. i would not have minded paying but l wanted that to be my choice and then could have widened my choices at rhe start to include the hyatt, riu or other 5 star hotel. By trying to force me to pay another 800 usd during check undermined the whole experience.

If you are going to relax after a big event like a wedding or graduation. If you are going to relax period you have to stay in your room. You will be approached 20 times by 20 different people offering to sell you some kind of deal for breakfast and a pendant then a bottle of tequila then a “$1000” gift card. It’s overbearing and overwhelming to constantly keep denying them and they keep asking. Also the staff will walk in your room unannounced. They did it 3 times during my stay once while undressed. If there’s a do no disturb sign on the door or if they knock and you don’t answer right away they WILL welcome themselves right in your room. It was annoying. Food was ok pool was suppose to close at 8 we went to the pool at 6:45 and life guard on duty blew his whistle and told us it was closed so he doesn’t have to work as we went to another pool after 7 and they let us swim no problem. I give this place a 6 outta 10 not worth the price tag

The resort had a great layout. The rooms were clean and spacious with ampule amenities. It was well catered to all ages and a great spot for families with children. Lots of selection of places to eat with a wide variety of snack and al la cart restaurants. The food was consistent and delicious. The five swimming pools on site gave lots of options for places to hang out. The washroom facilities at the pools however were lacking as the was only one stall for the women. There would often be lineups when the pools were busy. Some of the pool loungers needed some tlc, particularly in the daisy section.

The property was clean and well organized. The best past was master privilege suit. Our butler Efrain provided the highest service and met all of our needs. Highly recommend Ocean Riviera Paradise.

El hotel es bonito e ideal para familias pues todo esta muy cerca. La alberca de niños esta genial, tienen un poolbar en el cual tienen un menú extenso de bebidas para niños. La animadora a cargo de los juegos ahi muy buena en su trabajo. Tambien en el playroom en el horafio nocturno Gregorio muy bueni cin su trivia musical. Las habitaciones tienen buena distribucion y limpias. Hay gran variedad de comida.

Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff. We were also provided an upgrade to our room, which we were excited about! The room (swim-up junior suite), was very clean and spacious. The swim-up pool and balcony was beautiful and clean. We spent a lot of time sitting and reading there. All of the amenities and activities were clearly stated in the app provided to us. We spent 5 nights and found this to be the perfect amount of time to enjoy all that the resort had to offer. All the activities, such as volleyball and tennis, were very enjoyable. The evenings were always fun and exciting as there was live music every night. The food and drinks at the resort were above expectations and the reservation system for the reservation-only restaurants was user-friendly. We never had any trouble getting a reservation. Overall, the resort was amazing and the staff was fantastic. I would highly recommend staying here!

This is the second time being at Ocean Riviera Paradise and it did not disappoint. The staff are extremely friendly and interactive. They get to know your name and chat with you often. They are positive and create a friendly and active atmosphere. The pools, bars, karoake, bowling, shows, the gym, the basketball, tennis, baseball and of course the buffet are amazing. The ocean area is clean, transportation around the resort is easy and there continues to be so much to do and see. The rooms are amazing. We had a swim up pool and took advantage of the water in the early morning. Thank you again to all the staff for the amazing stay. First a wedding and this time a bachelor party. We'll see you again.
