They clean our room everyday but this morning at the buffet area we ask for decaf and one of the server been ignorant to us she dump the sachet of coffee in front of us...lunch in seafood restaurant pizza ,ceviche, and nachos are great but the fried fish fries and fish n chips are double fry, too oily This is only constructive review but theirs always room for improvement

We had a week a this hotel. It represented itself as an adult resort when it is actually 90% families and young families at that. It was a very large resort, kept clean, and friendly staff with the exception of the lobby bar. At the lobby bar, we were ignored by four staff members and we were the only two at the bar. It took asking twice to be served and yet we graciously left an almost required tip to the staff. We were disappointed with the taxi rates to go into town or even for a three kilometre trip, being over $30 Canadian. Another disappointment was the lack of Mexican music at the pools and lobby. Why not celebrate the country that people are coming to visit? One night (Saturday) being Mexican night was not enough to be authentic. A pool supervisor told us they had a required play list and could not divert from the list. A great resort for families and having a designated pool and room area as adult only did not make it any less family oriented as, all activities and restaurants were for all ages.

We stayed 2 weeks in Privilege. The resort was very clean, and the staff were friendly. We really enjoyed the layout. Food was mostly good. We had no stomach issues at all. The restaurants sometimes felt very chaotic. The inconsistency in restaurant staff stood out to us. Some were great, some were duds. Waiting 30 min before even getting a glass of water in Blue Moon was annoying. The beach - while okay in that there is a beach - was disappointing, many other resorts have better. It’s narrow, and you have to navigate the rocks to get in. Not a deal breaker, but I don’t enjoy swimming in water shoes.

The rooms were not upto expectation. The washrooms were dirty with foot prints, mould on some areas, disgusting bath tubs. The pull out bed (couch) was stained and old. If it’s a 5 start hotel I believe those should be well kept. Staff were helpful and friendly. The kids pool slides and fixtures were rusty and old too. Alot of options for food and Pez Vela was our favourite. Overall it was decent but I don’t think we would return considered the cleanliness of the rooms.

Rooms were clean and facilities were nice. Loves the decor. The two biggest negatives for us were the service (the service was slow or in a lot of cases non-existent) and the pool temperatures. Trying to get coffee at the buffet for example, or a drink around the pool was almost impossible. We’ve stayed at many other all inclusive resorts, and felt the service here was poor. Perhaps it’s better if you pay extra $ for their privilege rooms. Also, the pools are FREEZING with the kids pool sadly being the coldest of them all. This was a huge miss for us. There is virtually no one in the pools for this very reason. Everyone goes to the beach pool since it’s the only one even moderately swimmable, but it’s impossible to get a chair unless you get there before 7:30 am (which, who wants to do that on holidays?!). Also the resort needs to stop allowing people to ‘reserve’ chairs with their towels.

This resort was definitely in the bottom tier of all-inclusives that we've stayed at in Mexico (10th year of going). We were told several lies upon check-in about what was included; much less than an "all-inclusive" typically does. For example, 3 of the restaurants require reservations and you can only do that once per seven days. There are five pools, but we only had access to two of them. Unless you upgrade to the "Privilege" status, your breakfast options are limited only to the buffet - which had a lot of options but was rarely warm. We were also told there is a free shuttle to downtown (keep in mind this resort is isolated in the jungle) - everyone we asked afterward said this didn't exist and had to pay exorbitant taxi fares instead. The room was decent, but shows signs of wear. Housekeeping was great - they cleaned everyday and did an excellent job. The drinks were decent but are served in small cups/glasses. Most the bartenders were great, but like a lot of resorts, they are clearly overworked and understaffed. A lot of the servers seemed to not care if you existed or not, especially at the restaurants. The pools were also freezing (this was January) - but not a problem at other resorts. The ocean was honestly way more comfortable for swimming. The drink service by the pools was incredibly inconsistent. And the chair towel culture is here is the worst I've ever seen - Godspeed getting a chair by the pool on a decent weather day.

I stayed solo at Ocean Riviera Paradise All Inclusive in December, and it was one of the best all-inclusive experiences I’ve had. Rooms are okay, most staff are friendly. Improvements needed: 1. Reception at Pez Vela needs to be replaced, two ladies were close to rude and totally mismanaged. The first day we had lunch there, they made us waited for 45 minutes lining up under the sun just to put our names on the waiting list! Then we had to wait another 30 minutes before we got our table. We went back there for lunch twice and we went early to avoid the line up, but both times, we need to stand aside for a few minutes (not really knowing why) as they served the customers behind us first! 2. The reservation system for fine dining needs improvement. You need to login and fight through online to book right at 8:30 in the morning, otherwise you won't get any decent dinner time. Also, you can only book for your own room and if you have multiple rooms (our family has 3 rooms), you need to win the lottery to be able to dine together! And the reservation for Sakura is even worse, you need to line up in the sun for at least an hour if you want to get some decent dining time, the desk opens at 8:30 and you need to line up by 7:45 if you want to dine at reasonable time, the only thing good about this restaurant is they allow you to book for multiple rooms.

We booked privilege as we like the added amenities that come with it. Check in was smooth and we were upgraded to a rooftop suite. Our butler Allan was able to get us into an à la carte the first night even though we arrived at supper time due to our plane being delayed. All of our reservations were handled by Allan and we didn’t have to plan anything. The room was spacious, mini bar always stocked and we had zero issues. The pool was chilly until you got in for a bit. The drinks were fabulous but keep in mind you can’t always get top shelf liquor at all places (even if you’re privilege). The only thing I would probably change is that only privilege guests can use the privilege pool. There is a roped off section for privilege but the pool is open to all guests. The food at all of the restaurants is delicious. A large variety to choose from. This was our second time to this resort and our 3rd time to an Oceans. It is great value for the cost. Highly recommend.
