“Resort is somewhat dated. À la carte restaurants were good but the buffet was poor. There is a long history of people routinely becoming ill here for whatever reason. I believe that it was norovirus when we were there.”

“This place is gorgeous. We hung out at the pool and watched the lizards and birds. Its set in the jungle so the animals are everywhere and it’s so peaceful. The staff were so professional and polite. The food and drinks were 5*. There is a lot of construction happening so if that’s something that will bother you, plan accordingly. The only thing I wasn’t prepared for was the extra tipping. I thought it was all included in the all inclusive package but they are asking for more tips. It’s worth it……

“Beautiful property. Loved the two bedroom panoramic view suite with three bathrooms and it was the most comfortable suite we have stayed in. The beds were very comfortable and the staff were so courteous and helpful. The rooftop pool was so beautiful. The meal prices are comparable to USA prices or even more, but we had the all inclusive package which was totally worth it.”

“We have stayed here before. We are locals and choose this place for a staycation. We had an emergency and would not be able to make the evening. The hotel was INFLEXIBLE as to US changing dates or anything like that. They also don't seem to want to give promised upgrades through Expedia or anything like that. It's a great place but don't expect anything above and beyond from staff. All we wanted was to have them postpone our staycation for a week. There are many places here in Puerto Vallarta……

“Casa Maria is the perfect place to stay in Puerto Vallarta. It is walkable from the restaurants, cafes and the beach. You will never run out of options because it is centrally located. The staff were all kind and amazing and helpful. They maintained the cleanliness all throughout our stay there. At night, it was so quiet and serene we didn't have a hard time sleeping. There was a pool and a bar where free breakfast was served everyday. They have yogurts, fruits, juice, hot tea, coffee, bread,……
