"Beautiful and expansive classic villa with unique character. Incredible ocean views, especially at sunset from the balcony and infinity pool. Wonderful cook service, versatile menu that was deliciously executed by a flexible team that never disappointed. Great location with a variety of beaches, restaurants and shops nearby. Professional and timely communication with our VRBO host who was accommodating and helpful. We had 6 adults, 4 kids and a baby in our group and the property and local area was perfect for us. Our stay could not have been better, highly recommended. "

"The house was clean and cozy , and the view was great! However…. Our first time in Costa Rica and when they say dry season, it was way beyond my expectations. The property was very difficult to find but once located, everything was fine. I would stay there again but maybe when things were a bit greener 😅 The caretaker was very kind but a bit busy at times. Very thankful for the Wi-Fi and the a/c upstairs!"

"My family (two teens and parents) had the most wonderful stay at Villa Buena Vista in late March. The house was even more lovely than described and pictured. It is spacious, well-appointed, and the views are stunning. We enjoyed time in the pool and walks to Playa Prieta, which was almost empty each time we visited. The landscaping and bird life around the house are beautiful, even during dry season. We heard howler monkeys every day, and there's a family of them in the trees across the street. The town within walking distance has several restaurant options, and we couldn't get enough of the gelateria! There are several beaches within a 20-min drive, but a highlight was spending the day at Lola's on Playa Avellana (as recommended by the hosts - 1 hour away). We recommend making a reservation beforehand to ensure you get umbrellas and loungers. Ernesto and Ana were wonderful house and groundskeepers - our laundry was done daily, bed linens changed a couple of times, and house swept and tidied up daily. We enjoyed the visits from the dogs, too.Overall, one of our best VRBO stays anywhere. Would highly recommend!"

"The breakfast was yummy both days that we were there, and the service at the restaurants was top-notch! However, we were disappointed not to have a swimming pool available to use as guests at Santarena Hotel. The rooftop infinity pool was way too small for the number of rooms available. "
