“Everything at Ocho was amazing, the customer service went above and beyond to make it have a family feel and that we were always taken care of. The rooms were amazing, breakfast every morning was delicious, the beach club and restaurant was one of the best on the beach with great music. The location is extremely close to all restaurants.I felt super safe which was something I worried about being right on the beach but the rooms are very protected. I have zero bad things to say about this place,……

“We stayed with our kids ages 6 and 9. We were the only ones there with kids, but it was great and the kids loved the fireball and jenga. Safe. Well equipped kitchen. Pool to cool off in that the kids enjoyed. Bunk beds were super comfortable. Quiet time is at 11pm but kitchen closed at 10 so it was quiet enough at 10pm. Bathroom situation wasn’t ideal, but it’s a hostel. Close to a small grocery store, super close to the beach, affordable. The highlight was the surfing lessons. Julien was great!……

“Beautiful property. Very clean, quiet, peaceful. Just sitting in the room felt like a holiday itself! Staff were attentive and courteous. Food at the hotel restaurant was very good. We saw monkeys, iguanas, and raccoons at the pool. Beach is truly beautiful. Very calm, minimal waves. This is my perfect type of beach. My young teens, however, said that the beach was "too boring" after having been at some beaches with more waves/surf. This was our last stop on our way home after 2 weeks spent……

“Hotel Pasatiempo is an oasis in Tamarindo! There is a lush garden throughout the property and you can see a variety of animals like monkeys, iguanas, raccoons, etc. It has air conditioned/ceiling fans, spacious and very clean cabanas with wonderful patios. The pool is has lots of seating around it and is a nice option from going to the beach. The beach is across the main road in Tamarindo and there are many restaurants and shops right there. “This is a really nice hotel for the Tamarindo area. Great staff and service. The shuttle service was important because of the location on a steeper hill. Walking down is no problem, but it's a bit of a hike going up...great for a good leg workout. Rooms are nice and all have ocean views overlooking Tamarindo and the pool. The pool is really nice and big, and the restaurant is also a nice option. Breakfast could have a little more variety from day to day, but overall good. You also have access……

“We went for our 10 year wedding anniversary. First time to Costa Rica. Could not have had a better experience. The campus was spotless and verdant. The staff were unfailingly helpful and accommodating. The concierge staff were excellent and thoughtful. The food was delicious. And the views were stunning. 10/10 recommend.”
