「Lovely building and really helpful owners / staff . Was really clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good . Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . Bit noisy at night time but obviously the very nice owners can’t help that .」

They had ideas and suggestions of where to go and what to do and very much gave a homely feeling to our stay. The breakfast was delicious. 「We were met by our first names and instantly offered a cup of tea and cake! This personal,friendly theme ran throughout our short stay and made it a really lovely experience. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished with everything you could want and shiny clean. Breakfast was well organised with a time slot so we could again benefit from the personal touch from our super hosts. Excellent, freshly cooked large portions😀. Would happily stay here again and recommend to friends and family.」

「Property was within walking distance to the beach and shops. Owners Julie-Anne and Charlie were absolutely charming and recommended places to visit and how to get there. Breakfasts were very tasty and the air conditioning worked a treat.」

「We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place.」

「The spa was incredible Outdoor pool lovely Staff were really pleasant Comfy bed Super breakfast When we retuned in the evening found the room menu but no phone number! Unable to order food 😞 Made do with hot chocolate & cookie 😞 Wasn’t aware of hotel car park charges until our arrival!」

「Nice, cheap clean place to stay. It's very basic but thats all we were after. If we were to stay in Torquay again, we would probably stay in the same hotel. Although be aware there are no plug sockets near the beds」
