We stayed on property all eight days and were never bored — there was always something going on, and the evening entertainment was consistently enjoyable. The resort itself is beautiful and very well maintained, and the standard rooms were spacious with jetted tubs and private balconies that made relaxing easy. Dining was a major highlight. Every restaurant offered great variety and quality, and our entire group was always satisfied. The breakfast buffet in particular had one of the best selections we’ve seen at an all-inclusive. Service across the resort was friendly and attentive, and knowing a little Spanglish definitely enhances the experience. The pool quickly became our favorite spot. Kids loved the waterslide and kids club, while the adults spent most of our time at the swim-up bar. IRVING, our bartender each day, truly made the trip special with outstanding service and energy. We were also impressed by the number of top-shelf liquor options throughout the resort. Our only real frustration was the lobby bar, where long drink lines and limited seating wasted a surprising amount of time even during a slower travel period. We were also approached frequently about the Iberostar Club but were disappointed they would not allow us to review the contract in writing before signing. In all honesty, we likely would have joined if the process had been more transparent. Overall, Iberostar delivered great food, strong amenities, and a perfect vacation. We would absolutely return!

Unfortunately, our experience at this resort was extremely disappointing. The pool water was so cold that we couldn’t even enjoy swimming, and this was in the Mexican heat. The beach was another major letdown. The water was brown, full of seaweed, and the ground was rocky and unpleasant. It was honestly awful and very upsetting, especially considering we were looking forward to a relaxing beach vacation. The food situation made things worse. Most of the food we received was cold, and the line at the grill was consistently long. At the Italian restaurant, we waited two full hours just to receive our food. The following day, we had to wait another two hours just to get a table at the Mexican restaurant. That’s an unreasonable amount of time to spend waiting while on vacation. The entertainment was decent, but not offered everyday. Also seating was very limited. If you didn’t arrive very early, you had to stand to watch the show. We were told the pool beds were $25 to rent, but no one mentioned the additional $30 in taxes and fees. We ended up paying close to $50, which felt misleading. On top of that, from the moment we stepped onto the property, we were repeatedly pressured by staff to attend a timeshare presentation, even after clearly stating we were not interested. Overall, this was not the relaxing, enjoyable getaway we expected. For the price paid, the experience did not meet expectations. Very disappointed.

Was under renovation and wish we knew that prior! No area for adults only and there were 2 other nice areas were things could’ve been divided! Food was ok because they only had 2 restaurants open that weren’t available on same day or night

We stayed 10 nights as a couple and had a great overall experience. The resort had recently reopened under Iberostar, and while still working through some growing pains, it shows strong potential. Our rooms were clean and comfortable with good housekeeping, though we did have to switch rooms due to an AC issue. Food was outstanding—the best we’ve had at an all‑inclusive—with great variety, strong gluten‑free effort, and multiple dining options, though labeling and consistency could improve. Staff were friendly and attentive, with special thanks to Marlen, Alex, Irving, and Javier. Entertainment included nightly shows and solid fitness programming, though the show rotation is short for longer stays. The beach is heavily eroded but well maintained; pool cabanas cost extra and pools are unheated. Excursions booked onsite were reliable and enjoyable, especially the catamaran and Isla Mujeres trip. The spa was relaxing but overpriced for the value. Other notes: road access includes an 800 m rough stretch, club membership sales are persistent, the gym is decent but limited, and some maintenance was ongoing but not disruptive. Overall, excellent food, welcoming staff, and fun programming make this a strong resort with room to improve as it continues to settle under new ownership.

We were a little disappointed. We thought we were booking the Iberostar Cancun location. We got to that location and didn’t have a reservation we went to the riviera one . The hotel is very deceiving. The pictures are all the same from the Cancun location .

Room was okay and the food was average. The resorts needs some basic updates, lots of cracks and they were repairing the concrete ceiling outside of our room. The pools were nice, the beach was thin but still very nice. What made the experience subpar was the staff pushing for the time share presentation. We were harassed when we got there and with many phone calls after. Other couples were approached at breakfast unexpectedly. They claimed it was 90 mins, one couple we chatted with went and it was 2.5 hours. The staff was pushy, rude and pressured each couple to attend even after saying no multiple times. Left a base taste

Check in time was way too long. They just look to get you in timeshare type of presentation and make you VIP member. The beach is terrible and could not be even call the beach, water is brown with see grass all over. Not possible to swim in such ocean. The only good thing is personal who clean hotel well and food at buffet restaurant. Getting into specialty restaurants is just wasting of time, at Italian restaurant took us 2.5 hours to get the food we did not order, because they didn't have the fish we ordered, just brought us something without telling us prior to it.

While the property itself is beautiful, the overall dining and service experience fell far below expectations, especially for an all-inclusive resort. At the Italian restaurant, we arrived at approximately 7:30 PM and did not receive our food until around 8:30 PM. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely disappointing in quality and frankly inedible. Because of this delay, we missed the nightly entertainment, which was one of the highlights we were looking forward to during our stay. We didn’t leave the restaurant till 9:30pm. And during the first half of the dinner the fire alarm kept going off. The Caribbean restaurant was also very misleading. The menu was primarily seafood and did not reflect authentic Caribbean cuisine. My boyfriend is a vegetarian, and one of the options provided was grilled carrots, which were poorly prepared and unacceptable as a main dish at a resort of this caliber. They were boiled briefly and drizzled with yogurt. Additionally, our group of 11 was split across two table tables they refused to seat us together and food was served 10–15 minutes apart, making it impossible to dine together. To make matters worse, the hostess was rude and dismissive when we asked to clarify the reasoning. The buffet was the only consistently reliable dining option.Outside of dining, the beach was disgusting due to excessive seaweed, and the beverages were also overly sweet even the natural juices were artificial.

La habitación era amplia y cómoda, sin embargo pagué por una vista al océano y no fue lo que recibí. En el hotel me informaron que se trató de un error de Expedia, lo cual fue decepcionante. La propiedad es muy limpia y el personal es amable, eso es un punto positivo. El buffet tiene variedad, aunque he visto opciones mejores en otros hoteles de la misma categoría. Si el motivo principal del viaje es la playa, no recomendaría este hotel. El área de playa es muy reducida y la playa no es bonita en comparación con otros destinos. Otro punto negativo es que para los restaurantes de especialidad no se aceptan reservaciones, lo cual es un gran error, ya que la espera es muy larga. En general, el hotel es correcto, pero hay varios aspectos que deberían mejorar para justificar la experiencia

The hotel itself is lovely. The food and service is also very good. However there is no beach. There is no sand. There is no way to walk along the beach in front of the hotel or any of the other hotels in the area. The sand has been washed away. There is no place to run. The road into the property is all holes and dirt. While I understand that this is caused by nature, it should not be advertised and charged for as a beachfront holiday. The description of the beach is misleading and we left the property before our check out. We received an apology and management’s assurance that we will get refund for the used days. So far we have not received anything. They handled it all very professionally and I trust it is coming. I hope they fix their situation. And until then we will not return nor recommend it.

Staff was great, everyone friendly, the food was impeccable - honestly the best from the all inclusive I’ve been to. Facilities also great, my kid loved the children club and child minding. The only thing that could be better was the second bed in our room - was supposed to be two queen beds, but we got one queen and one sofa bed. The sofa bed the mattress was really uncomfortable, my mom has fibromyalgia and was in pain during our stay. Otherwise everything went really well. We’d come back if in a two queen beds room. The beach is also not great - is a small beach space and it has sea weed.
