“The hotel was in the most perfect spot! The bar on site was great with beautiful decor. The onsite restaurant was not good at all. It was overland the food was very bland. The only negative about the hotel is the shower. The shower is so small and the glass door is difficult to get in and out of. The room had cold ac which was nice.”

“Both elevators were out at one point, the staff couldn’t check me in even minutes earlier than the 3pm guideline,and the whole ‘meal thing’ felt weird about inclusions or exclusions. Pay to park (but only 10 pounds) for two nights - but still…great location for rail or ferry, but the staff couldn’t check use an upgrade. PS. Why are the damn hallways so narrow to your room? I could barely get by a maids cart…seems like the fire regulations would be wider. Narrowest I have ever seen in any hotel.……

“The bed and floor were clean and we were only using it to sleep to be fair but the join under the sink kept soaking the floor and the kettle looked mouldy inside so we never got a cuppa. Also you can't share the room key link so my vaping partner had to keep borrowing my phone to go outside. Still was never supposed to be a room to hang out in properly I guess.”

“We loved everything about this apartment, in a quiet buy super close to the harbor, 8 minutes walk, beautiful clean apartment with everything needed, fairly new and very modern. Highly recommend.”

“A nice stay overall. We were unable to get the water in the shower cool enough to use, so we had to sponge bathe in the sink. But the room was clean and comfortable enough. We liked that it was within walking distance of the ferry.”

“The host was very kind. The room was clean but the furniture and bedding was very outdated. The bed had an older mattress and it was squeaky and lumpy. It could be a cute place if it was updated. The furniture was worn and old and not attractive. The room felt very sad to be in. The TV was from the 1980s and super small. ”

“The hotel is generally rather tired, but that is reflected in the price. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and the room adequate. For the price that I paid for an en-suite room it represented good value for money”

“We had a good stay at The Palace Hotel, very friendly lady welcomed us. Our room was up 45 steps which wasn't ideal for us because of our age. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were at the rear of the hotel and the pigeons outside our window made getting to sleep a little difficult, but on the whole no problems. The breakfast was amazing, far too much for us but very well presented, lots of choice , something for everyone.”
