Richmond has the look and feel of Hong Kong but without the crowds due to the number of ex-patriots from Hong Kong living in the area. Truly a wonderful place to hang out and is right next to Vancouver.

Richmond is growing too fast. Notch it back a little and really give it some thought. Beautiful cities have ambiance. They connect people to the land and they include nature and architecture not buildings to obscure it.

Lots of eateries and restaurants. Only challenge is when it feels REALLY packed. It is waay too much and difficult to get around. I still keep coming back, though! I just avoid the busy times.

If you have a dog, the Richmond Olympic Centre has a great fenced in area for your pup to burn some energy and that's about a 5 minute drive away.

If you have time and transport check out Steveston. 15 to 20 minutes drive but a nice area on the river with shops and historic buildings nearby.
"The restaurant had a view of the harbor and mountains and our room on the 16th floor was comfortable, quiet, and had a gorgeous view! The hop a bus picked us up right outside the hotel and we also were able to easily walk to nearby places of interest. All the staff were friendly and very willing to answer questions highly recommend!!"
