"The hotel is a bit dated in the rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always good and plentiful. Cleaning was poor, never vacuumed in five days, tables were left dirty, sheets never changed. Also there was mold on the window sills and my allergies acted up. A bit pricey for this level of room."

"Wow, this house is amazing, beautifully renovated - every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The location is idyllic - set in the heart of the countryside. The hosts were very approachable, all our queries prior to arrival were answered very swiftly and were on hand throughout our stay - thank you David and Martyn, it’s safe to say we will be back."

"We booked this accommodation while walking the Cotswold Way. Downstairs space was good and we were able to combine a couple of tables to sit 8 of us together. Upstairs all rooms had views out the back. A little more furniture in the main bedroom would be good. We had a couple of issues but these were responded to and satisfactorily resolved within a couple of days."

"We stayed at this property through Stay Cotswolds and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. On arrival, one of the bedrooms had a large number of flies on the floor, making it unusable. We reported this immediately and shared video evidence. While the property manager was polite and apologetic, no effective solution was provided during our stay. As a result, we were unable to use the bedroom as intended and had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. This significantly impacted our stay and meant we could not properly use the property we had paid for. What was particularly frustrating was the handling of the complaint afterwards. It was suggested that we did not communicate during our stay or allow access, which is not accurate and a complete fabrication. We were in contact every single day and were cooperative throughout which we provided further evidence of. Be aware that StayCotswolds will take no responsibility as the contract is with you and the owner of the property. Overall, the property did not meet a reasonable standard, and the way the issue was handled did not reflect the experience we had."

"We rented Locks Cottage and it exceeded all our expectations. The house itself was absolutely beautiful – full of character, very well maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views were stunning and truly captured the charm of the Cotswolds countryside, making it a joy to wake up each morning and simply take in the surroundings. The cottage felt peaceful and welcoming, the perfect place to relax and slow down, whether enjoying breakfast with a view or spending quiet evenings indoors. We had a brilliant time from start to finish and felt at home straight away. It was one of those stays that you wish could last longer. We would highly recommend this cottage and would happily return in the future."

"Property as advertised, clean, quiet, well furnished. Cotswolds location meant it felt less value for the cost compared to say Devon or Dorset. Upstairs bedroom had several compromises as it's up steep low headroom stairs, open to the downstairs and bedside light position is fixed too near to the headboard. I checked with the agency about bringing a stair gate as there was no clear picture of the stairs and was told one not provided but yes I could bring my own, which was correct except there is no way to secure a gate to the stairs. Also, there were landscaping works ongoing which we were not informed about. The workmen were extremely polite and accommodating but we had to move some in work items about to make the garden dog safe, on occasion we had to negotiate vehicle access and several tipper trucks of gravel were delivered which covered our cars in dust. Nothing particularly intrusive but we should have been told of the works beforehand."
