“The property, beach, and kids club were amazing. Be careful booking on expedia. We booked a preferred ocean front swim out with two double beds. Apparently this room doesn't exist. When we got there we were put in a room with a King size bed and a pull out couch. We made it work but that is not what we booked. The room was also the farthest room away from the preferred club. Again we made this work but was not what was booked. This isnt the first time somwthing like this has happened to……

“The food, staff, and customer service are horrible at this hotel. They require you to make reservations for all restaurants through an app that doesn’t work. You can only make 2 days of reservations and can only make them once you are on property. Concierge staff are the worst - rude and unhelpful! You can’t swim in the ocean (actually a bay) because of the murky water with tons of jelly fish. Spend less money and stay at a much better place like Secrets or Dreams (right down the street). “Very clean rooms and bonus the hotel is almos new less than 2 years The staff is always nice The pool area is very clean but and this is a huge but there’s almost no umbrellas in the pool area which is really needed The beach area is the same almost no umbrellas but at least you have all the Palmeras for shade They should invest a little more in putting more shade in the pool The food is good and there’s a lot of options to choose My teenagers had a great time I loved that they had sports……

“This is our second stay at Hacienda Cucuyo. It is such a hidden gem overlooking Samaná Bay. It has a limited occupancy which makes it perfect for a retreat style stay. It is quiet, comfortable, and very connected experience. Daniela is an absolutely terrific hostess! She welcomed us warmly and is the perfect host as is Victor and the rest of the staff. Our only complaint was the tiny ants that showed up in our luggage and bed on the first night do to our ground level apartment and the rain the……
