“Hotel d’escale pour nous. Situe entre deux grandes surfaces. Piscine un peu vieillissante. Type un peu motel américain avec des escales pour les routiers. En bord de route. Petit déjeuner et restaurant le soir à l’hôtel partenaire à côté . Très bon. Attention on parle un peu moins anglais dans la region( notamment le soir au restaurant. Conditions de voyage: hors saison”

“Good A/C, nice sized room. Appreciated the "larger" mini frudge and coffee maker in the room. Very helpful woth local resources and advice on best travel routes. Got to see a mother howler monkey nursing her baby in the tree just adjacent to the room. Room walls are concrete, so couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Much more serene atmosphere than the hectic pace and crowds in Nosara and Guiones beach areas. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Louie for wonderful hospitality.”

“Beautiful property and room! The pools are plentiful and never felt crowded—we saw a monkey! Treat yourself to an evening sunset by the lobby bar—breathtaking! The beach is ona beautiful cove. My kids enjoyed the rocky areas for “tidepooling” for hermit crabs, fish, etc. There is a nice reef right off the beach where daily snorkeling activities are available. We saw a puffer fish, some colorful tropical fish and a spotted ray. Note the beach is public, but the locals are friendly and not……

“Our family absolutely loved our stay at Tamarindo Diria. We are talking about coming back and inviting more family to join us. The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are simple and clean. We relished the ocean view with incredible sunsets and the waves. The breakfest buffet is extensive and fantastic with options for all types of eaters. We loved having the restaurant literally on the beach in the open air and enjoyed not only breakfast but nearly all of our meals there where you are able to order from……

Great beach, one of the best I have been in Costa Rica. Affordable. I don’t know if they have any beach chairs, I didn’t asked. There are none available at the beach except for the next door resort which they don’t rent. There are different activities offered by other businesses.”

Outdated Facilities: The roof appears to have been neglected for years, and the overall condition of the facilities is poor. 2. “The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!”

“Everything was a dream. I’d say the only thing they could do to improve is change up the food. We were served the same thing everyday it was delicious just a switch of food would’ve been nice! Other than that everything was perfect!”

“The workers were great, friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly small, we had the room with two twin beds. The space between the beds was about a foot. Two people could not stand in that space. Incredibly difficult for two people to maneuver around in.”
