Reviewer Comments: The unit looked to be recently renovated (beautifully done). The weather was great. The building has just 25 units so the beach was not crowded. I liked that although this unit was on the first floor, it was above ground level due to the parking under the building. The beach was very accessible - no steps.

104 Commodores Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had never been to this part of Florida before. You must stay on the beach unless you don’t mind dragging your kids, beach chairs, umbrella & cooler across 30A everyday.The view from the porch was fantastic but is right above the gate that you use to come and go from the beach. If you don’t mind listening to the banging of the gate then this is the condo for you. The elevator was not working during our stay and we did have a drip from the bathroom fan that landed on your head when on the toilet. The Condo was clean but the property could use some attention.The sofa was hard as a rock and the non stick pans in the kitchen need to be replaced. Parking is tight for a large vehicle. Bike shops are a plenty and will delivery to this property. Commodore’s Retreat is definitely on the quiet side of Santa Rosa so if you are looking for a place to relax, take in a sunset, catch a glimpse of dolphins this is your place.

Great long weekend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really loved the Commodores retreat! Its close proximity to the beach was perfect. I also really appreciated the small things such as Tupperware was in the kitchen. Two things that popped out as a little disappointing would be the bright light outside the bedroom. The bedroom is right across the hall from the elevators and there is a light that can make you think that it’s 6 A.m. when in fact, it is only 2 AM. I had to wear an eye mask asleep, which is not a huge deal, but I feel like some darker curtains would be lovely there. Another thing and I could be wrong, but I did not see where this unit included beach chairs. They are available for rent, but I have seen where a lot of places include to beach chairs with the rental. Again, these are minor things. But enough, that the light in the bedroom properly bothered my husband. The bed was very comfortable. The bunks in the hallway are really more suited to younger children instead of teenagers. If you have a tall teenager, they may want to sleep on the pullout couch.... Also, the bathroom could use a little TLC. It is probably the original bathroom when the property was built. Again, it is very functional. However, the countertops are shorter and the shower is not updated either. These were minor things for a long weekend, but if these are things that would be a dealbreaker, maybe look at another facility. I would absolutely stay here again, but I would definitely keep that in mind if this is a dealbreaker.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Amazing stay on the beach w an ocean view and great atmosphere. The condo was outstanding and had everything we wanted for our stay. Was close to everything and the private beach was not crowded. The property management company was top notch. They we on top of every question we had. Only small issue. There was a beeping noise from the owners closest that was locked and the property manager tried to resolve it but did not have a key. We were able to shut the bathroom door and alleviate the sound.
