Situated on 5 acres of historic property once owned by the Dupont family, the lodge has all the comforts of home in a secluded, wooded setting. Accommodation Details: • Bedrooms: The lodge features two bedrooms. The primary bedroom includes a king-sized bed, a 65-inch TV, an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in closet, and ample space. The second bedroom, separated by a barn door off the living room, offers a queen-sized bed. • Bathrooms: There are two bathrooms in the lodge. The primary bathroom has a shower, while the second bathroom features a tub/shower combo. Both bathrooms are stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryers for your convenience. • Kitchen: A fully stocked kitchen awaits, equipped with a Keurig coffee maker, stove, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, cookware, dishes, and various appliances to prepare meals. • Living room: The living room boasts a 75-inch smart TV, along with a dining table and two sofas for relaxation. • Lanai: For outdoor dining, there's a screened lanai where you can enjoy meals surrounded by the sounds of nature. Sit back on the rocking chairs with your beverage of choice and watch the occasional deer walking past. • Outdoor Amenities: Outside, you'll find a private fire pit area with Adirondack chairs and firewood, perfect for evening gatherings under the stars. • Entertainment and Connectivity: High-speed WiFi is available throughout the lodge. Additionally, there are three smart TVs; a 75-inch in the living room, 65-inch in the primary bedroom, and 55-inch on the lanai. • Parking and RV Facilities: There is ample parking space for up to 4 cars and an RV, with 30 and 50 amp hookups available. Please inform us in advance if you are bringing an RV or caravan. • Pets: Pets are welcome with prior approval and a pet fee of $100 per pet per stay. Long stays may have additional fees. Maximum two pets. • Access: Entry is via keypad, with the code provided on the day of arrival for ease and security. Location and Nearby Attractions: • Beaches: Crescent Beach is just an 8-minute drive away, with easy access to other nearby beaches such as Butler Beach, St. Augustine Beach, and Palm Coast. Beach towels and chairs are provided. • Downtown St. Augustine: Only 15 minutes from downtown, where you can explore historic sites, shops, and restaurants at your leisure. • Fishing and outdoor activities: The lodge offers facilities for fishing enthusiasts, including a fish cleaning station and ample space for boats, trailers, or water sports gear. • History of Dupont Center: Dupont Lodge is located in an area south of St. Augustine known as Dupont Center. This is a defined area of land on both sides of US 1, near the Hwy 206 intersection with a long history of farming and was named after the owners, the DuPont family, who were prominent residents of the city. The DuPont family’s presence in St. Augustine stretches back to the late 1600s, when Huguenot Abraham DuPont left Rouen, France, for London in 1681. In 1791, the Spanish government granted a 41-acre land grant to the DuPont family, which is now the site of the Dupont Center. Whether you're planning a family getaway or a gathering with friends, Dupont Lodge provides a comfortable base amidst natural surroundings, with modern amenities and convenient access to both outdoor activities and urban attractions. Reservations: Please ensure your guest count is correct in your reservation. We will need to know the number of adults, number of children, and number of pets so we can prepare appropriately. Trash cans are located outside the laundry room door to the right. Entire house Owner lives on site about 800 ft away in a separate part of the property. Owner is available for questions or emergencies. There is another rental house next to the Lodge. It is a 1 bedroom "barndominium". There may be another guest staying there during your stay. You also have the option of booking both properties for your stay. Let us know if you wish to do that. Note: the maximum number of guests is 4. All guests must be listed in your reservation. If the guest count exceeds 4, it will incur an extra guest fee of $125 per person. Maximum number of vehicles we can allow is 4. No parties please. Owner lives on the same 5 acre parcel about 800 ft away in another house. No parties or events No smoking Shooting: While we don’t promote target shooting as an activity due to liability reasons, we have had this request. Should you book both Dupont Lodge and The Barndominium and complete our hold harmless liability disclosure it may be possible, subject to owner approval. If one house is vacant during your stay, it may be approved. Guests should want to stay on property because of the experience we offer, not primarily as a shooting venue. Trash cans are located outside the laundry room door to the right. Cancellation Policy • Our cancellation policy is moderate which means you will get a full refund up to 5 days before check-in. On Airbnb we do have a non-refundable option as well where you pay 10% less but the payment is non-refundable no matter the circumstances. • We encourage guests to purchase travel insurance. • Last minute cancellation requests due to extreme weather: We will consider refunds or partial refunds on a case-by-case basis if there is a National State of Emergency issued for the State of Florida, or other major weather event such as a named Tropical Storm or Cyclone warning. • Airbnb does have a Major Disruptive Events policy for national events, outages, natural disasters and government mandated travel restrictions.
