" I've had unacceptable experiences during my last two stays at the Courtyard Marriott in Newburgh, New York. During my first stay over the Christmas weekend, the hotel had no heat or hot water. Despite calling an hour before check-in to notify the staff I was running late, the manager failed to inform me of these conditions. When I requested a reimbursement for these circumstances, the hotel refused, and I was forced to resolve the matter through my bank. My most recent stay during Easter weekend was even more distressing. On the last night of my two-day stay, I was awoken in the middle of the night by an itching sensation and discovered bed bugs on my pillow and sheets. This experience was overwhelming. I had to immediately shower and was forced to discard the clothing and pajamas that had been on the bed. I have already contacted corporate, but I found the customer service representative to be very curt. While she stated that I would receive an email notification offering a full reimbursement for this stay, I have yet to see this resolved. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and the sanitary conditions at this location. I expect a prompt confirmation regarding the full reimbursement of my recent stay. "

"The room I was assigned had mold in the fridge and what appeared to be mold under the rug from fluids that had leaked from th efridge the TV did not work nor did the microwave or fridge. It appears the cleaning staff neglected this room failed to ensure everything is properly cleaned and or failed to make the room and available. Lorenzo Jackson was kind enough to switch my room without any issue."

"The place was iry! I really didn't know how to cancel the room. When we got there, the bottom half of motel the windows were covered with paper, half of it falling off. When I went inside, I noticed the restaurant was closed and the clerk said it was no longer operating. I asked where the Longhorn Restaurant was and she didn't know that either. It was at the bottom of the hill, about 1/4 mile away, if that. One of the side doors had been held open with a trash can. I would think that would allow anyone to come in without checking in first. But I think there was only one other room rented in the whole place. There was only one other car at 5 am in the morning. The halls were freezing. The room was very old, very tired of being used and should also be renovated. I have never had to put my bath towels on the chair because it looked so dirty. Too bad, it looked like in it's day, it must have been quite beautiful. "

"the bathrooms were dirty, the place needs some TLC, the location is right on 9W so convenient but hard to get to unless by car. The place needs some inexpensive upgrades and its amazing what a difference a deep clean would make. sit on the toilet and you see the filth. i recommend a new cleaning service and inspections before guest arrivals. the ONLY thing i felt comfortable using were the towels. the bed sheets were clean but the coverlet and summer blanket had bleach stains (ihope) and were cheap and cheesy. "
