“I should have taken other recent reviews to heart. The property is overgrown; the path stones are broken, and weeds grow right under my patio doors, making them difficult to open. I received a message saying no one would be there to greet me, but that a packet with information and my room keys would be on the front desk. I arrived around 1:30 and found the envelope with my first and last name and my room displayed on the front. So much for privacy (or safety). The lobby has a musty/mildew……

“Our stay was rather disappointing. The property seems neglected. Some lightbulbs in the bathroom were not working . The coffee maker was really filthy inside. Instead of breakfast we were offered some packaged pastry from a gas station. Plus, there were a bunch of insects in the room. There was no drinking water in the property we ended up driving to get water. I don’t understand they can charge so much money ”

“Amazing location in one of the most beautiful areas in the Northeast! Mini Lodge is beautiful! Nice little hiking trails right on the property are magical. Our room was very comfortable and had views of the Gunks, as well as a beautiful grassy area with fire pits and yard games. Loved it and will stay here again!”

“Tiny shower and toilet. Sink was outside the small bathroom which was nothing like we had ever stayed in. No drinking glasses in the room. We had to go to the coffee station in the lobby to get cardboard cups.. No apologies for this. The overhang to the front entrance was badly damaged and looked as though it had been like that for some time. The breakfast was stale bagels and weak coffee. Never again! I recommend this place to no one!”

“The lobby smells GREAT, especially by the elevators. This was my second time staying here. I asked the front desk to change a $20 bill so I could give a tip to the housekeeping staff, and they said they didn’t have change (nor did the restaurant)! I’ve never heard of that. I felt terrible to not give the housekeepers a tip (they deserve it and work hard). Bed is comfortable, pillows are great, shower is good too (and toilets have jet-flush).”
