「This is a nice hotel in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which really stood out. Dinner was excellent but on the pricey side. The cost of the room was also a little higher than I would have expected. Overall I rate the hotel as 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars if the room rates had been a little lower.」

「Was very disappointed at being charged extra to park the car because we booked through Hotels.com. Only received a refund when we complained and pointed out that had I come and just bought a coffee I would have been eligible for free parking as I would have been considered to be a customer. But not considered to be a customer when staying overnight. 」

「Stayed here for 3 nights on this trip. A very comfortable stay with exceptional service. The air conditioner in the room stopped functioning, but the staff quickly took care of the matter as soon as we reported it and compensated us with many free drink vouchers; the manager got soaked in the process of fixing the air conditioning but continued to apologise to us for the inconvenience. The staff are very welcoming, and the environment is very relaxing. Will highly recommend this hotel to anyone...

「Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay 」

Beautiful decor, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was well cooked and served beautifully. We would be very happy to stay there again.」

The decor is a mishmash of themes with some questionable colour choices and looking a bit rough round the edges. However finding a hotel that accommodates dogs is fantastic and location is great. Staff are friendly and you can tell thy work hard. 」
