I want to start by saying that the space is divine and serene. The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms are exactly as they appear online. The cute little kitties were an added bonus! Overall, we enjoyed the vibes and the space, great for photos and relaxing. The food at the restaurant was exceptional, and we especially loved the desserts. There were taxis waiting right out front, which was convenient- expensive but convenient. (if you are looking to use InDrive, they will not want to pick you up from this location) With that being said, I did have expectations that were not met with this being a Michelin key winner. The pool in the rooms is really more for the vibe, its freezing and had a strange film on the surface. I wanted to get in so bad, and I did, once. But only to say I had. There was nothing really included besides morning weekday activities like yoga/Pilates, which was disappointing for the price. There didn't seem to be enough staff to keep up with cleaning the pool, so there was a lot of foliage floating about. The hot tub, which is where we made tons of friends and spent a better deal of time while at the hotel, was maybe 5 degrees warmer than the pool. Lastly, the showers did get really hot, but ran out of warm water quickly- enough time to wash and rinse, but nothing extra. I think I expected more bang for my buck and a little bit of a different experience. At the end of the day, we had THE BEST honeymoon and enjoyed our stay at Hotel Milam.
