Out of the five hotels l stayed in during this trip around Japan the Wakoshi Tobu Hotel was easily my favourite. The room was very clean and very comfortable, also very nicely decorated. The room was larger than what l've come to expect in Japanese hotels. Overall l've stayed in hotels costing very much more which were not as nice as the Wakoshi Tobu Hotel and l would definitely stay here again on a future trip to the area. The R Baker on the ground floor of the building is a great place for breakfast.

This hotel checked all boxes for me and my husband. Staff were friendly. Facilities were well kept. Very modern with tablet room control. Pretty convenient for transport - right above Wakoshi station but not too much noise (we were facing away from the train). Highly recommended!

The room was excellent! The following positives stand out for me: safe in room, small “dorm style” fridge, plenty of space under the bed to fit 4+ suitcases, excellent front desk staff, combined washer/dryer, free coffee in the lobby, great location in Wakoshi station, etc. The only negative I can think of: if you need to do laundry during your stay, don’t try to do a full load like you would at home in a stand-alone washer, keep the load small and light. This was really my fault for not knowing what to expect and assuming a US laundromat setup… and now we both know. If the laundry load size is the only issue, I would say we found a winner. I would not hesitate to stay here again! The staff, amenities, location, and rates were excellent! Thank you!

Breakfast was excellent. Very accessible as it is adjacent to a train station. Amenities were good. All facilities and equipment were in good working condition. They cleaned my room everyday. Daily provisions like water, complimentary tea, toilet paper, shower essentials including toothbrush, toothpaste, comb to brush hair, shower caps, etc were provided daily. Excellent service overall! I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

If you're looking for a place outside of Tokyo but on one of the subway lines, the Tobu Hotel in Wakoshi is your place. They offer discounted Skytree tickets too! If you don't feel like walking far or need a day of rest, there are plenty of places to eat downstairs and across the street. The rooms have more space if you're looking for something in between western and Japanese style.

This hotel is in a town called Wakoshi which is on the outskirts of Tokyo in the Satima prefecture. I like this hotel area more because it’s not quite as busy as Tokyo proper. The hotel is perfectly placed within the train station and is surprisingly quiet. The overall quality, for the low price is excellent. The hotel is very clean, modern and well furnished. The staff is always helpful very professional and quite nice. I especially love the free coffee machine in the lobby. There are many restaurants around the hotel and a quick train ride to everything in Tokyo.

Perfect location. There is express trains from Wako to Ikebukuro thus convenient to travel around Tokyo. I also managed to goto Kawagoe and Yokohama from Wako on express trains. Coin laundry is a challenge and staff is very kind to help. Cleaning staff is also perfect. Shopping & dining around Wako was great. Thank you

Honestly, Amazing! Room was spacious, and had enough space to store 3 large suitcases, Bathroom was amazing. Staff could not be more polite and helpful, making you feel completely valued. This hotel sits next to the Tobu Tojo line, which is amazingly convienient for getting into the centre of the city, I could not hear any trains at all, It may have been because I was in the 7th floor, but it was fine. There's a 24 supermarket nearby, with a Lawson, and a Family Mart within eye distance from the hotel. I have no complaints about this hotel at all, and I would not hesitate to stay here again. どうもありがとうございます!!

I stayed there for a week. My partner and I loved it! There’s so much to see and experience around the area! Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were very helpful too. Very clean too. The Wakoshi station is just below. Bus stations are very very short walking distance. There’s 24hr places to eat around the area. It was a very pleasant stay there. The only thing is it is 1hr away from the Tokyo City if your destination is there. But Saitama has a lot to offer too. Beautiful and more quiet than the main cities.

This hotel is really great value. It’s a bit of a trek to Tokyo’s central areas (~30-40min) which can be a little annoying, but makes up for it with a really cozy and modern room and an awesome price. Just don’t miss the last train! The staff are very friendly and helpful. In all honesty, there was a little bit of a burn mark on the carpet, and a bit of a blood(?) stain on the sheets the first night, but otherwise the room was very thoroughly cleaned. My sister and I managed pretty well in a double room, despite how small it was. That’s kinda to be expected though, just don’t leave your suitcases open on the floor all the time and you’ll be good. The area is nice too, very quiet. The breakfast is also like, ridiculously good. Seriously. It’s amazing value and it’s so delicious. Some of my favourite food I ate on this trip. I highly recommend :)
