“Towards the end of the season, so not everything was open. Quite a way from the amenities, staying in Woodlands Burst of Blue as my partner is on crutches. The bedding was very clean and fresh, but the living area when I pulled the buffet out from under the table, there were biscuits crumbs. The kitchen work tops needed a wipe. We went into the Tattershall pub for a cocktail and meal. The cocktail offer was still available, but we were told we had to have the same cocktails. Yet, the two ladies……

“Lovely one night stay. Car parking reserved, very close to hotel. All staff we encountered were very helpful. Bags left early before check in and were delivered to our rooms. Our room was on 3rd floor and although hard to find and very aptly named ‘cosy double’ it was very comfortable and of a very good standard with a good view of the cathedral. Elemis toiletries, coffee machine & kettle with milk and water provided in fridge. Large comfortable bed, at least king size with good quality linen……

“Lovely stay”

“Comfortable ”

“離市中心一般，回酒店時要經過一條很斜很斜的路（Steep Hill），沒有自駕車極不便。 雖然有升降機到達3樓，但經濟房間那邊，仍然要經過約5至6級梯級，要搬運較重的行李箱極不便。 服務員，態度好。剛入住時，天氣非常熱，詢問要把風扇，第2天才有，已是幸運。”

“對外交通工具不便，房間蚊蟲很多”

“Good location nice bar and restaurant”

“The location is excellent for the castle and cathedral. It’s an old building and therefore not ‘flashy’ but it has character. We received a friendly welcome and the staff team were very helpful. It’s a great base for visiting the old town. We did not have the time to see the town down the hill. You may have to park in the car park opposite and pay, as the hotel car park is quite small but there is space to drop off a guest if needed and then to park.”

“Worth a stay”

“The hotel was very comfortable and cosy.”

“First impressions of the hotel were excellent and overall it is a lovely place with generally attentive staff. All was going well and the receptionist said that we were lucky as our room was air conditioned, while others were not. We had been allocated room 6 and on opening the door there was an interesting staircase which split in two at a small landing with one set of stairs going to the bedroom, with the other leading to the shower room. Getting between the rooms you have to be very……

“Listed as having ev charging but chargers were not working as the hotel was being powered by a generator according to the night Porter. Was unable to charge when we arrived and had to find alternative fast charging the next morning. Room was a bit dated but comfortable with very large bed”

“it is really nice hotel, staff are nice, food also good.”

“Rooms are very tired, dated and not standardised, carpets very dirty in rooms. Television reception was so poor that made viewing anything not possible. Wifi worked, not all televisions were smart in that couldn't view streaming services. Some rooms still have single glazing, meaning cold and very noisy. The kitchen was okay but missing many things like bowls, poorly equipped. Entrance was unlit, making later arrival difficult as unable to see entrance and unable to enter code. Cleaning……
