“We were warmly greeted on our arrival by super-helpful Felipe. We had an early start our first morning and asked if a 6am breakfast (90 minutes before breakfast is usually served) would be possible. Not a problem we were told. I was anticipating that we might get a pastry. But instead we started our day with the most amazing home cooked juevos rancheros. Staying in the tree house was special. The jungle can be loud at dawn and it’s a drive from nearby restaurants and tourists sites but the……

“Lovely quiet area to stay. We speak very little Spanish, they were so willing and patient with communication. The porch area was lovely. We enjoyed rocking and having an evening drink. There is a small store about a mile away. We went to bed early and were so surprised that 4 other couples were there for breakfast. Breakfast was a “typical” and very good. ”

“We loved staying at Chachagua and would highly recommend it to anyone considering. The property is sprawling, with so much available onsite to enjoy. We took advantage of the coffee and chocolate tour, the cooking class, and the night tour on property. All were excellent. Additionally, Chachagua’s location is perfect for seeing Costa Rican wildlife. In less than 48 hours, we saw nearly everything we had only hoped we would see.
