“Quaint 1930s hotel with rocking chair porches, and well-appointed rooms. I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Comes with breakfast, centrally located near beaches, shopping, and attractions. Communication was excellent, and staff was friendly and helpful. Keyless entry was smooth and uncomplicated. Definitely recommend!”

“Room was clean and the price was right. That being said, I have a few issues. The video service kiosk for check in, etc, staffed by someone overseas, was annoying and impersonal. The description of “1 acre of private beach” advertised was an absolute lie. It is only a few blocks from free beach access, why do they make such an effort to make it look like they have a private beach? Pet fee was 59.99 per night plus tax (acceptable), but is not what the website advertised ($50) Coffee pot in……

“Great Stay! I was a little concerned with past reviews but figured out that the bad reviews were from the previous hotel. This is a newly taken over Home 2 and what you’d expect from a great Hilton family! It is exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful Oceanfront room with a balcony, kitchenette and easy parking! Room was clean and staff was amazing! We will be back anytime we are in the Outer Banks area!”

“We had an outstanding stay. The resort itself and the area is just perfect for a timeout from everyday stress! Loved the hospitality of the team: Amanda, Sterling and Justin - a great trio that is always making sure, everybody is happy :). Issues were taken care of quickly, professionally and super friendly. We had a unit with ocean view, which was amazing. The unit itself was clean and light. The kitchen furniture is a little outdated, but has everything you need for a comfy stay. The rest……

“Had a nice stay here during peak beach season. The only drawback to the location was the road noise, but my white noise machine took care of that. The room was very clean, my daughter spilled some bubbles on the floor and there wasn't even a suggestion of dirt when I cleaned them up! I've stayed in more expensive properties and cannot say the same about them. The only thing that would make the room a little better would be a small table and chairs to eat at, otherwise the room was very nice and……

“We had a lovely stay. We stayed in the suite, so we were able to bring our pups too. The owners were so helpful in finding things to do, places to eat, and just telling us a little history of the area. Their breakfast was amazing too, with eggs straight from the chickens they raise! Overall, we had a wonderful time.”

“We are just crazy about Cypress House. The property is unique as are the proprietors. They are very helpful, funny, everyone of their dining suggestions were spot on., and as good as our meals were, breakfast was the best meal of the day.
