“This was a lovely hotel in a great central location for visiting Tavira. Although we did not take advantage of many facilities, the pool was excellent. Much larger and deeper than most city hotels and great for swimming. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the piano player every morning playing a great variety of easy listening music.”

“We stayed at Opus One Hotel for three nights. The location is excellent—close to the train station and an easy walk to the city center. Our room was spacious, bright, and clean, with a large balcony perfect for relaxing. The host was friendly and very helpful—he provided us with a power adapter we forgot to bring and gave useful tips about local restaurants and shops. “Great stay at Laguna resort, which is a quiet and relaxing retreat on the outskirts of Vilamoura. Taxi to the marina is around €6, excluding tip. You could walk although it’s about 30mins in the heat. Limited dining options on the resort but plenty within a short taxi ride. Villa cleaned 6 days (Sunday off), downside was the hot tub is not operational and top level unusable, also patio area could have been cleaner. Food from the cafe was okay, though priced at a premium compared to other……

“A beautifully situated and well appointed boutique hotel graced with courteous, efficient, multilingual staff. The pool and decking is framed with magnificent Mediterranean pines and rosemary. Gym is well equipped and the breakfast buffet abundant. Bedlinen is the finest, softest most silken cotton and the pillows provide a sweet slumber. Clientele in July was a mix of Portuguese ( a good sign when you stay in a country that its own people choose it) and some English, Irish and Italians. Guests……

“It’s a good price for good accommodation and amenities. The beach is amazing, food is good, around the hotel needs updating. Around the pool some areas of the floor were lifting in places and dangerous for kids. The mini golf is a waste of time, flooded, covered in leaves and torn, don’t bother. We had a good time. I don’t think I’d go back there though. ”
