"We had a truly delightful stay. The space was generous, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living and dining area. "A really old-fashioned Japanese onsen experience like nothing else. We ate in the Japanese restaurant one night and French the other evening. The food was fantastic. Rooms were comfortable but old fashioned. I would highly recommend the room with a private onsen - we saw tanuke (Japanese raccoon dogs) approach whilst we were bathing which was a really special experience. We hiked to the ridge (5 hours return) through a beautiful forest."

"We stayed at Prominence near the start of spring. During this time, many shops, restaurants, and cafés were either closed for the season, closed early, or had limited seating. Many bar-style eateries were also not very welcoming to families with children. In hindsight, it might have been better to stay in the Happo-One area, as it was the only ski resort still open for the remainder of the spring season.
