"The property I feel is under renovation. So cleanliness is an issue right now. Pool was not clean. Staff was ok but the service standards not comparable to what Asian countries like India has. It was similar to bed and breakfast. Help yourself to enjoy the location which was good."

"My stay here was lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and spacious. The location is amazing - a minute walk to the busy lake George area (although I had no issue with noise at night). The only thing missing was complementary lotion to go with the bathroom stuff (they provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash). Also, the room had minimal lighting which isn’t terrible but it was a it dark for my taste. Otherwise a great stay!"

"We’ve stayed here many times and generally have a great stay. This stay, we opted to pay an additional $85 for a two hour late check out. From 11am- 1 pm, the front desk called to ask why we hadn’t left, we were interrupted by two different individuals on three occasions knocking on the door asking why we hadn’t left, then came back asking what time out late check out was. The room key wouldn’t work after noon. It was a huge disappointment when we wanted to enjoy a relaxing morning with no urgency."

"We had an issue with the bathroom. Overnight we had lots of bugs that came into the bathroom and were crawling all over. When we called the front desk about it, they said unfortunately we cannot do anything since the booking was done through Expedia!!! It is very unfortunate that we had to go through this kind of experience and response from the hotel. I hope Expedia compensates me for this as I am going to post my reviews online on social media to make sure others do not have to go through a similar experience and also hesitate to book through Expedia if this is how they will be treated. I have taken pictures of the bathroom with the bugs crawling all over. Hope to hear from Expedia soon."

Lodge at Schroon Lake

"The place in general has amazing amenities, including a basketball court, mini golf, a game room, outdoor fire pits, live music, an indoor pool, etc. The downside of our recent day was that the beach area was not yet open for the season, even though it was already early June. So we were unable to rent kayaks and use the lake. Also, only one restaurant was open because the tavern was fully booked out by a wedding."
