“We have stayed at The Powfoot Hotel as a stopover on the way to our final destination in Scotland. It is an absolute gem. Of course there are newer and plusher hotels but this place takes some beating for its idyllic location, courteous and professional service, cleanliness, comfort and good value restaurant. “The room was lovely and clean. Nice touch to have a coffee machine with pods. Still and sparkling water in the mini fridge. And a couple of packets of biscuit. The food in the evening was really good and the breakfast was amazing. ”

“A very good hotel, with motorcycle parking right outside.
The staff were very good, the rooms are very clean and in excellent condition.
Breakfast was good, and cooked fresh to order.
The hotel was better than expected and we would stop there again.”
