"First off, there's no beachside bar here, regardless of what AI says. But it is close to the beach and Fort Macon. The rooms have full sized fridges and range/ovens. It's cheap, and you can park a car there and it has a bedroom with a door. Don't steal the pillows, don't smoke inside, it'll be great."

"Excellent location! This unit is first floor (despite what check-in directions say) and “oceanfront” (but really dunes front because you can’t see the water), but less than a minute walk to the sand. The apartment was small, but super efficient, very clean and instructions for checking in and out were very clear. The ceiling fan over the bed rattles & seems very loose when turned up past level 1, so definitely kept that low & slow while we were sleeping. The futon in the living room area was plush & comfortable to sit on. Not a lot of privacy, but that was expected as all the outside spaces were shared. I did like the glass front door, so you could see out; just be mindful of all the folks walking by. Because we were on the ocean side, we had to park on the street side of the complex & walk around to the unit. It was not a long walk, but worth considering when it’s super hot out or carrying a lot of items from your vehicle. We were there towards the end of June and the pool was very dirty; there was a lot of dirt/debris floating & along the bottom. It had been a bit windy, but I think it was just not appropriately maintained. There was a resident there, who got out the net, after she heard my comment about the pool cleanliness, but it was just too much for her. The water was still refreshing, but there is NO shade around the pool area. We enjoyed ourselves & I would recommend this unit; especially for couples or small family of 3 looking for a quick, quiet beach getaway."
