“This is our second stay. When they say 1 step above camping that is misleading. By that I mean, if you have camped, this is 20 steps above camping. You have a stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. It has a screened porch, a deck and right on the pond. There are lights and outlets to charge phones and there is service for phones! This is better quality then most hotels for the money with the exception of no running water and outside (clean) bathroom. So, if you see this and you are……

“Words cannot accurately describe the beauty of this property. Located right on the ocean, the views are spectacular and we enjoyed every minute we spent here, taking in the sunrises and watching the lobster boats in Frenchman's Bay. We loved staying in Hancock, which is a nice distance from all the places we love to visit when in Maine Chippers Restaurant is right down the road and my husband enjoyed the Lobster Alfredo immensely. We find ourselves in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor often when we visit……

“The house was perfect for our lakeside getaway! The house is very well maintained, clean and spacious- there were 2 more full/queen beds in the loft. There were plenty of amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. The welcome book had plenty of recommendations for local restaurants and hiking close by. We spent plenty of time adventuring in Acadia nNational Park-that’s as about a 45min drive and made great use of the fire-pit and kayaks at the house as well. Perfect spot for a beautiful and……

“The place was extremely clean with plenty of supplies including lots of linens and kitchen tools. We had a rainy weekend and had to stay in a lot but it was very comfortable even with 4 women and the occasional visitors.”

“Plusses: Quiet, lakeside, great for two people, fairly well equipped. Minusses: Mile and a half on dirt road.”

“My husband and I stayed for the long weekend with our two dogs. Had such a nice time, weather was great. Lake house is very roomy with the perfect lake decor all around. Husband had a great time fishing off the dock and using the kayak. Really appreciated the clean lawn and not too many bugs around. Great fire pit to roast marshmallows on. Host was perfect with communication. Can't say enough great things. Hoping we can make the trip out here in the future!”

About 30 minutes from Bar Harbor but with traffic, sometimes closer to an hour. Very clean, had everything we needed. Would highly recommend if you are in the staying in the area.”
